The Big Questions:

1. How are the Crowds?
(NOTE: Touring Plans have not been needed at all on this trip)
Sat. PM, DDT very crowded, but managable.
Sunday, MK little to no crowds until mid-afternoon. Due to EMH the
crowds moved in, but we left for dinner.
Monday, Epcot, no crowds, walked onto every ride multiple times.
Tuesday, MGM, limited crowds in late afternoon, otherwise, 10 minute waits.
Most all Fastpass stations were closed due the small crowds.

2. How is the DDP working?
DDP has been great for our family. CM have been great in helping us maximize the program.

3. How is the weather?
Typical of South Florida for this time of the year. A short lived high of 95+ during the afternoon with scattered Thunderstorms (we have used parkas only once so far, tomorrow's weather looks a little wetter). The humidity is high, but for those of us in the South, it's really not a big deal.

3. How are the lovebugs?
Not bad at all, they are way over hyped. Of course, We are from South Mississippi and are use to them. We did have to clean the windshield at our last gas stop in Gainesville, but they really are not that bad. Last year after Katrina, they were a plague on South Mississippi, we had to keep a broom at the door of the house to brush them off the door before entering, so perspective may be everthing on this one.

Well here goes more detail, we arrived at POR Saturday (9-23) the room and grounds were exactly as described. POR is perfect (we have stayed at Swan, All-Star, Poly, CSR). While we did not get the building we requested we did get our second choice. They got all of our other request right on the money.

After check-in and getting settled in the room, the kids and I went swimming on Ol' Man Island (this let my DW have a little down time after the drive in). After a couple of hours in the pool, we collected Mom and took the boat to Downtown Disney for dinner At the Earl of Sandwich. Good food and fast, however DDT was crowded on Saturday evening.

Sunday at MK was perfect. Early entry for Little One's Extra Magic Hours allowed us to ride everything in FantasyLand within an hour. At the rope drop, we headed for Splash Mtn. and BTMRR, By 3 pm we were repeating ourselves. We rode Splash Mtn., Buzz Lightyear and Space Mtn. 3-4 times each. We ended the night at O'hanas were we watched the Electric Light Parade and the Fireworks over the Castle as well as watched the kids hula and coconut race.

Monday at Epcot was even better we rode Soarin three times within 30 minutes and when we arrived at Mission Space we got a little extra magic. A CM asked us if we would like a special tour. We got a behind the scenes tour of the ride and the CM took us to the "Mission Control Booth". This the window along the que line. The kids got to "work" on the "dummy side" of the control panel. We then were taken to the front of the line.

We ate lunch at Chef's in France with a table beside the window. The portions were large and quality was good, not great. Dinner was at Corral Reef. The portions were not as large as lunch, but the quality was better. My DS had the steak and it was the best plate of the night (go figure). DW had the Tuna and I had the Mahi Mahi, both were great.

Today we only did Counter service in order to take advantage of Table service Restruants at Epcot tomorrow.

Sorry for the length, but I hope it helps some of you coming soon. We are back in the room while the kids do homework (the price of taking the kids out of school for a week) and my DW is at a business meeting (why we justified this trip) so I have some time to kill.

Thanks for the great update!!

We arrive at POR this coming Saturday and have a very similar schedule for Saturday night and Sunday. All of our plans seem so close now ... especially reading your report. Let's hope the crowds stay low.

Enjoy the rest of your week.
