Live From Wdw - Illuminations Glitch!

Last night Illuminations at Epcot was performed without the globe! There was a huge lightening storm. We all thought they would be cancelled but the show went on just with big gaps in the middle!!! Heard someone say the globe had been struck by lightening but don't know whether that was true. Glad they did the fireworks despite weather but people next to us had never seen them before and kept saying "these are boring" - shame!!

Was the show late too? I ask because I usually hear Illuminations right at 9pm and last night it was much later when I heard them. The storms last night were horrendous!! The lightning was really freaky and it went on for almost 2 hours.

Thats worse than the audio giving out at the beginning of our very first Wishes experience on Sunday July 17th. Illuminations (with the globe) more than made up for it 2 nights later. Can't imagine it without the globe.

Thanks for the info-I love to hear about "unusual" occurences in routines (as long as no one gets hurt, of course)-ride breakdowns, etc. DS is a summer-time CM at DL, and whenever he calls, I ask for all the "oopsie" events.
