Checked in on Wednesday evening and my goodness me, what a fantastic visit this has been already!
Ran into random friends already over by the grotto pool, Florida friends who I had no idea would be staying at the resort this week! What a treat!
So far we've hit a few parks, and VERY much enjoyed the pool here at the Swan & Dolphin. While I'm partial to the grotto pool, others in my party prefer the lap pool... probably because they can swim and I can only "bob" in water.
The room is fantastic and food incredible. Had some dinner this evening at the patio version of Il Mulino ... the calimari was to die for..
Heading out to the Magic Kingdom tonight for late night EMH ... and gonna head over to AofA for pictures sometime tomorrow evening. So I'll be posting those sometime tomorrow..
Hearing some rumors about the future of what used to be Pleasure Island.. it's a mixed bag. Apparently at least one prominent item from the old Adventurer's Club is at 'property control' -- which is basically where Disney sells items they no longer want.
And the 8Trax space was looked at by some execs from a cable network about setting up something there. (also big boo)
On the bright side, another closed club was apparently reviewed recently by some folks considering reopening it as a nightclub. Hope springs eternal I suppose.
If anyone has anything they want to me to find out about or answer.. just holla a question and I'll be happy to see what I can find out!
