Yes, I saw the other chairs, but the "lounge" type chair wouldn't work so well for dining (?), and without the patio chairs, you wouldn't have a second. Just thought that was odd--no second dining chair. No big deal.

I'm glad everyone's discussing the table & chairs. I had the same thoughts. BC is set up with the table under the desk with 1 chair. We had a standing only balcony so there wasn't a 2nd chair. This did not work well for giving the kids breakfast in the morning & they had to take turns. I'm relieved to see Steve's comment on the 2nd chair in the room but I didn't see it in any of the new pictures Did I miss it somewhere?

Hi: What type of tv's are they, meaning lcd? Also how big are they?

It is a 32 inch Flat panel and when I saw it I would say it was LCD and not plasma but plasma are like lightbulbs and only last so long so it would be a good call to use LCD (last longer).

Yep, i agree. Typical plasma TVs have a life span of 20,000 to 30,000 hours, which equates to at about 20 years of usage if you have the set on for 4 hours a day. The lifespan of an LCD TV is typically 50,000 to 60,000 hours, or about 40 years running 4 hours daily.

The new rooms do look nice, but I have to say I'm very disappointed about losing the round table and 2 chairs that go with the table. My husband and I also enjoyed sitting at the table together. Not really looking forward to dragging that lounge chair over! Maybe we'll be lucky and get an old room on our next trip in December!

Thanks for sharing the pictures, they make me homesick, I loved the Poly, I was heitant when I booked it a few years ago being such an old hotel but to my surpise it is kept up beautiful and there was no wear and tear...now being refurbished I bet it is heaven, I enjoyed seeing the pictures.

We arrive in 10 days. With Hawaii opening I'll try for a upgrade. What's another few dollors when your paying rack rate. I booked late but was still hoping for some discount, nothing available. When I booked it was less then 120 days out, then they changed it to 60 day out on my 58 day. I was so upset e-mail Disney. Got the same form e-mail all complaints get.

A little Hawaii Pixie Dust would ease my disillusion on Disney BRP.

Mamu, you're in the same black hole as some of the rest of us. Even if you had booked earlier, the only discouts were AAA. When the BPR was announced, those of us in mid-October were under 120. When it switched to 60 days, of course we were under 60 by then! There is a black hole thread about it.

Telly, as you can see the size difference isn't a big thing for most people. We too find the original buildings we've been in spacious enough.

The extra space is more than just between the bed and bathroom wall however. There is also more space between the other bed and the lanai door. And the width of the rooms seems greater to me though I am ready to admit that may be an illusion. It could also be the fact that the rooms we've had in Rapa Nui are accessible rooms. We've stayed in a number of those rooms.

Honest to goodness, I think I better go back to bed. This part about the room size I meant to put on Fantasia's thread! Too late now!

All the newly rehabbed rooms will have coffee makers. Not sure about how much coffee or the type, but most of the other resort locations leave one packet. Maybe Lyn will comment on how much and what type of coffee was provided.

Jo Ann: There are coffee makers and coffee in the room you won't need anything from home. They even provide coffeemate. I am not sure what type of coffee it is since I don't drink coffee, but my husband said it was good.

I bought a Cannon Power Shot A520, digital camera. My son has a Cannon Power Shot SD400 and it take fabulous pictures. I should have bought that one. I will be returning the camera I bought this weekend and will be looking for a new one.
