Live From the May Repositioning Cruise

slindamood..thanks for posting. We can always see it again! It's also good for those on board the ship that don't have time to go thru all the pages to look for a link. I enjoyed seeing it again!

Did I miss what was announced reguarding changes on the magic during the next dry dock?? :confused3

Good morning all. Had a great day yesterday. Slept the entire day and feel great. I hope I didn't miss anything big happening on board. The stateroom bed was just so comfy.

:rotfl2:

Actually, no. I managed to take about 440 pictures in the canal itself. Started on my verandah about 4:50 am with the pilot boat, and went from there to deck 10, back to my verandah (The lock control house balcony was level with mine), back to deck 4, back to deck 10, down to my verandah, back to deck 10, then deck 9, then deck 4, then the fantail on deck 6.

It was great. My biggest recommendation for those doing it again, move around a lot. Spend time in the shade on deck 4 (Where you can REALLY feel and see the movement up and down unlike deck 10), and bring sunblock with a rating equivalent to lead.

I didn't get burned at all, but several disboarders (Peter) did. Though he swears he'll be back to normal today, he was matching the wall in Parrot Cay last night.

Anyway, I'm off to the wonderfully rescheduled 10am wine tasting (It was 3pm - go figure) and then to champagne brunch. By 12:30 this morning, I expect to be parallel to the deck somewhere on board.

Man, I got tired just reading this, LOL!!!

Ouch Peter, I'm thinking Aloe Vera gel might help!!! Feel better soon!!!

Could someone onboard let us landlocked people know when and where your next ports of calls will be? I'm enjoying my cyber cruise through you guys and I just want to stay abreast of what's going on. Gee this has been fun!THANKS! :teeth:

For those with a serious sunburn--take some Benedryl, trust me it helps.

I had sun poisoning before and was MISERABLE! Benedryl helps a lot.

Thanks for keeping the updates coming. One more week to go!!
Sue Ellen

Aloe Vera gel really does help too!
I got badly sunburned scuba diving on our honeymoon on St Thomas, but fortunately our resort was selling aloe vera gel. It was like pure aloe plant that had been run through the blender (my impression -- sure it wasn't true), and it is very soothing.

I just want to add my thanks to all of those who posted pictures, slides, movies, etc. of the Magical day yesterday.

I was able to watch the Gatun locks, but missed some of the Miraflores, due to DD thinking that she and her little "rat pack" of friends being picked up, fed and taken to the movie were more important than me watching The Magic. How could she.......................

And that web cam operator....he/she did a MAGICAL and WONDERFUL job
capturing all the right angles and shots that y'all had asked for.

I just checked the day of the week when she returns and it's on a Sunday...
maybe more people will be able to watch.

Again....
THANKS
Phyllis

TxDisneyFan - you are in for a real treat when you stay at the Wilderness Lodge - it's my favorite.

Don't forget to do the following:

1. - Eat at Whispering Canyon, it's the restarurant in the lobby , this is a must
2. - Get tickets for the very merry christmas party and also the candlelight processional
3. - Go see all the story tellers in EPCOT World Showcase
4. - Go to the Backyard BBQ and/or Hoop Dee Doo

Greg

Hey--when you can convince him--you can start working on my hubby pirate: :teeth:

Admittedly--all my fault though. We're taggin along with my mom to Hawaii for her 50th and my DD4 picked that over DCL. Something must have gone haywire with our Disney brainwashing attempt. :sad2: . Poor kid doesn't know what she's missing!
