Live from the Boardwalk!!!

What a nice day!! Spent a couple of hours at the pool then we headed to DTD. You know, I don't know if it's our imaginations or what, but we don't think it's as crowded as we anticipated. We noticed this first at DTD. Not alot of people. Now they could all have been either at Parks or back in resort pools. But even the AMC movie wasn't crowded. A nice way to stay cool.....We saw Pelham 123. Very good. I even thought it was better than the original. But what really clinched it was when the bus pulled into Typhoon Lagoon to pick up people...no one got on. The parking lot was not full either; lots of empty spaces. Now this was only around 5 PM and it's 96 degrees. I would think the water park would have been jammed.

Tonight it's off to Epcot for Luminations. Early night tonight. Off to MK tomorrow for Early Entry!! I do one EE park and it's MK; my favorite.

Still can't seem to upload pic's from this laptop. So I'll have to wait till I get home next week.

Thanks for reading my little stories......have a good evening and I'll be back tomorrow.

Really enjoying your trip report!! I read some of it last night at work, but can't post there, so wanted to stop bye to tell you I'm enjoying it!! Have fun!:goodvibes

Sounds like a lot of fun! How is the renovation of Spoodles coming along??? Or is it all boarded up?

Thanks for taking time out of your trip to update us.

For your sake, I'm glad to hear that the parks aren't busy. I can imagine that it would be miserable if it was wall to wall people given the heat index.

May I say, you are very brave to visit during this time of the year and have a great attiitude about the heat. DH and I went to WDW in early October and almost died from the heat, so I can't imagine what it must feel like this week!

Enjoying your report! We will be there next week and I am hoping the heat is not going to be as bad. But who am I kidding it will be July!! Enjoy the rest of your trip!!:)

OK this is OT but being you're from the Bronx....notice any plot holes in this film remake? i.e., you can't Skype from down in the tunnel! :rotfl:

Spoodles is still open. They aren't going to begin the renovation until October I believe. I can double check. I did find out that the breakfast menu will remain as it is now with only dinner actually changing to the new Greek cuisine.

LOL...yes!! DH actually noticed a couple but he's not here and I can't remember what he said! :thumbsup2 Something about where they actually got the money from or something like that.

Wedneday - today is my birthday and I finally have some pic's to show you all. I won't bore you with all of them but these are some of my favorites.

We had a great time yesterday with our nephew and his girl. Turns out she works for WDW over at the AK Lodge. She works in the new section; Kadandi Village??? Not sure of the spelling. Lovely young woman. We ate at the Rainforest Cafe; loved their version of a Margarita!!! :thumbsup2

Later this afternoon, we're headed to the MK. Dinner is at Liberty Tree Tavern and then Wishes. DH ordered me a birthday cake. I'll post the pic as soon as I can.

I'm having such a good time....I think this has been one of the best trips yet; and I've taken many to WDW. Later....see you all later.

Happy Birthday! Your pictures made me officially homesick! So much that I just checked the calendar - 164 days to go!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA!!!!!!! So happy to hear you having a great trip and bday!!!!!:bday:

I thought Spoodles was already closed and re-opening in August, guess I had my facts wrong! Maybe it was wishful thinking??? ;) lol

Enjoy the rest of your bday and WISHES!!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I had a GREAT day. :thumbsup2

Spoodles WAS suppose to be under renovations, but then all of a sudden things changed. It'll close in August as someone else posted. I don't know when it will re-open however.

We just got back from the MK and it looks like it may storm. The weather today was absolutely lovely; 89 and 58% humidity. But I'm telling you; this place isn't packed. I hope I'm not repeating myself but last night at Beaches and Cream, it was 6 pm and we just "walked in". No lines, no waiting and there were empty tables.

Well everyone....I have some birthday cake to eat!! I'll post a picture of my absolutely lovely cake tomorrow.

Night all!!!:flower3:

:bday: Can't wait to see pictures of your cake. I hope you continue to have a wonderful time. Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

We never did get that text message and around 4:00 I checked and sure enough the room "was just released". Room 3001...it's at the far end of the Boardwalk where they use to have the DVC models. I never walked so far down a hallway like I did today. :rotfl2: But you know what??? It's a great room. Opposite of the normal set up; kitchen is on the left when you walk in and master bedroom is on the right. I've had this set up at SSR, but never here at the BW. The view is great; directly opposite the "Golf Ball" so the fireworks should be nice. Everything is neat and clean; nothing broke or missing.

We've had this location before and LOVE it. Great view of the resort and very quiet at the end of the hallway. You'll never hear me complain about the walk. It is so worth it!
