Live from the AKL!! ** UPDATED 21/08**

We are here at the AKL at last!

The plane journey was boring but fine, we took off on time and landed 20 minutes early. Got the car ok, set the satnav to find the AKL and off it took us to Daytona beach instead! By the time we realised we had gone wrong we were stuck on a duel carriage way with no exits for miles. We eventually managed to find out way back to the right road and then got caught in the most incredible thunder storm which was great for me as a first time driver there It ended up taking over 2 hours to get to the hotel.

Anyway, we got here in the end, the hotel looks lovely, we had dinner at Boma which was delicious, will def be eating there again

Did you get a savanah room?
I think sometimes satnav is more trouble than its worth, I once tried it getting off the cruise to goto Kennedy Space centre, took me south to Cocoa Beach
Boma is a mixed place for us, I loved 1st visit, not so much for DW & DS, they found something but not impressed. 2nd time we ate too much at lunch abd none of us really enjoyed it, not going back this trip.

We are off to MK today, if I am brave enough later we may drive to a supermarket and restuarent

Have a wonderful time, we love AKL and Boma For shopping go down Sherberth Road turn right and up on the right is a Publix, also Red Lobster and Outback Steakhouse nearby

Don't remember our room number but we were just past the Disney cruise desk on Kudu trail about 4 or 5th room on left overlooking the Sunset savanah, Giraffes feeding point right outside our balcony.

Hello

We went to MK today, queues were massive outside at opening but once inside it wasn't too bad, we didn't queue for anything for more than 10 minutes Went on some rides we have never done before such as Jungle Cruise and Liberty Bell which we both enjoyed. We had lunch at Crystal Palace which was fab, love the food there There was a small boy at the table next to us, he had his pic taken with Piglet and as Piglet walked away I heard the boy ask his mum "why does Piglet have a zip up the back?" Mum looked very flustered trying to find an answer!

The weather is lovely and hot, there was a thunderstorm at lunchtime but it only lasted about 15 minutes.

I braved the car again and drove to Walmart, satnav is now behaving itself and the drive was very quick and easy. We stocked up on a few snacks and drinks for the room

Had a dip in the pool after and are now relaxing with a nice drink in the room, going to try and get an early night as we are both shattered. Dh has a headache and says his throat feels funny so praying its not swine flu!

Off to Epcot tomorrow and then will take the rest of the day as it comes
