We're having a fabulous time!!

Embarkation went smoothly. We arrived at the port shortly after 10 am & were in boarding gruop 3. We checked in within 10 minutes at the CastawayClub line, got our pager for the kids club, and met a few DISers at the terminal. Embarkation (for our group) was between 12:15 & 12:30.

We had a great turnout for our DIS meet at scoops. It was fun to finally see everyone in person.

The weather has been pretty warm. It got a little windy in on Saturday afternoon but it wasn't nearly as cold as everyone had posted. Today the pools were pretty full & there were quite a few sunbathers on Deck 10.

TTFN!!

My sister is on your cruise and she called me yesterday at 5:40 pm saying the ship was delayed and had still not left Port. Do you know the reason for the delay? ...Just curious

We came home to sunny weather on Saturday morning from the 6/11 cruise and it was so nice to see it. I expect you will have better weather than we did. It is suppose to be nice and hot this week here. Have a great trip! Keep up the post if you have time. I know I had to wait til late night to get on because there is so much to do. Would love to hear how your trip goes! Thanks for posting.

RaeAnn...

Thanks for posting! We're sailing July 9th, and it is so nice to get information from those before us! Just a few questions:

I know you said you were in group 3...when did boarding begin for group 1? Does everyone in your party have to be present to check-in? Also...once you check-in and get a boarding number, do you have to stay in the terminal or can you leave and return when it's closer to boarding time?

How was formal night? Did they do anything special for Father's Day?

According to your navigators, is Twice Charmed on Monday night or Wednesday night? And is Who Wants To Be A Mousketeer a nighttime show?

Have a MAGIC-al week.

thanks f0r posting I hope that you have a great week. We were going to get to the port at 11AM next week do you think that is too late she we get there at 10am did you think that getting there at 10 got you on the ship sooner? Also later in the week I hOPE YOU post if Herbie will be playing it openings on the 22. What are the movies playing nw are there the same or did they add new ones?

I'm soooo jealous. I hope that you have a wonderful time! Thanks so much for taking the time to post and let us know how it's going...Keep it up if you can...you know we love getting those "live" reports! :flower:

Audrey....we had planned on getting there at 11:00 when we went, but got out of the house early and got there by 10:00. I was glad we did. We got boarding pass 4 and didn't have to wait in long lines. Just after 10 they opened the check in line. Only 1 person from your family had to be in line with all your docs.

:flower: Rae Ann after all your posting before the cruise your still posting while onboard. What a dedicated DISer you are. :goodvibes Have Supercalfragilisticexpealidocious time on your cruise! :cheer2: I hope I spelled that right?! :cool1: Eat a mickey bar for me if you would. :mickeybar

Glad to hear that they now have a seperate line for the CC members. Sounds like things are going smoothly in the terminal now. Have a fantastic cruise & keep us posted when you can. :)

You were on page 2. Had to bump you up. Just wanted you to know it looks like Matz and PV will be hot and sunny for you! 92 and 86 Deg. I am soooo jealous. That's the weather I wanted! Have a great time!

Rae Ann - Thank you for posting from the ship! I have a question about the schedule for the week. It has changed a couple times and I wanted to know what it is this week. Last schedule posted(that I could find) was from the 6/4 I think. It was:

Saturday--casual attire--- rotational dining----show Welcome Aboard
Sunday---formal night---Golden Mickeys menu---show Golden Mickeys
Monday---casual attire-- rotation menu----show Gary Delena comedy
Tuesday---pirate dress----Pirates In The Caribbean dining menu---show Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy movie & pirate deck party
Wednesday--- casual attire---rotational dining menu--- show Twice Charmed
Thursday--semi-formal attire---Captain's Gala menu---show Disney Dreams
Friday---casual---Til We Meet Again menu---Farewell variety show

Is it the same for this week or has it changed? Thanks for any info!

~ Bethany

Bethany...that was the same schedule we had on the 6/11 cruise.

Thx for posting! It's nice to hear that the weather is becoming more promising!! Let us know how the port excursions are if you do any!! :sunny:

The cruise has been great so far.

We arrived at the terminal around 11 and got boarding number 5. While we were in checking in, someone opened an emergency exit door and the whole building had to be evacuated. No biggee!

Boarding was no problem at all and before long we were on our way.

No problems with motion sickness in our group of seven. I haven't heard of any one being sick.

One of drink servers (Victor) did some research on Herbie for us and he says that it will be showing Thursday night at midnight. Looking forward to that one.

I have seen dlander all over the ship but have not run into any other of the DIS members since the meeting on Saturday at Scoops.

It has been fairly mild weather so far but it is 8 am and already very hot. It is going to be a scorcher today.

Anyone on the ship, you will know me by the mickey carved in the back of my head. Had this done on the first day of the cruise by Jules in the Vista Spa. (It was a moment of madness) My kid loved it. I swear I am the biggest kid on this cruise, nothing but fun!!!!

great to read that you're all having a wonderful time!! thanx for giving us the info! :flower:

Make sure you take a picture of your new hair-do! Would love to see what it looks like!

This post is copied from another thread, but no one of any authority has responded there yet. The policy may have changed since you can now book spa ressies on the website in advance.

Why can't you book a regular massage appointment (in person immediately upon boarding) for a sea day?

On our 7-day Eastern cruise in January 2005, I got to the spa in plenty of time to make our reservations on embarkation day. However, I was told that they do not take reservations for regular massages on sea days. Only "premium" treatments can be booked on sea days. They offered to give me reservations on the St. Thomas day and put us first on a waiting list for massages on a sea day. Unfortunately, we were never called on either sea day before we got to St. Thomas. I understand that they want to maximize their profits by booking as many high-priced services as possible, but isn't this unreasonable?

I am excited about herbie we board the ship on Sat and that is one movie I will see. It has a lot of race driver in it and we are big race fans dd,dh were at the track while they were filming it and who knows maybe we will see them in movie.
