**Live from the 6/18 Magic**

We were disembarking when the emergency alarm went off when you were getting on. We were in the customs line, but they didn't move us at all!

Wow, thx so much for sharing your updates about the weather, etc. It's so great to hear the details!! Keep 'em coming!! :cool1:

Last full day of the cruise, bummer. It is quite chilly today but the sun is shining. Make sure to bring a least windbreakers for everyone if you are coming next week. You will need them for the first night and the last day.

DBIL went deep sea fishing yesterday (Cabo) and caught an 8 1/2 foot blue marlin that weighed just under 150 pounds. What a day! He is having it stuffed and sent back home. He has been on cloud nine ever since.

DS went scuba diving and had a good time but said the water was very cold. If you do not like cold water scuba diving, do not scuba in Cabo yet.

Everything has been great. I just finished having my fifth massage and loved them all.

We are getting ready to go see the new Herbie movie.

If possible, could someone post the menus for the Golden Mickey's and Till We Meet Again menus? Thanks

Thx again for the updates on the weather, my DDad will be jealous when he hears about your fish!! :rotfl:

Just made our reservation for our hotel stay and the ressie for our transportation. I hae reservation for transportation at 10:00. Last year we arrived at 10:45 and the place was getting very crowded.

Glad to hear everyone on the cruise is having a great time. Have a Rum Runner for me!

Thanks for posting! We'll be boarding tommorow!

I hope you will do a trip report! I've been disappointed by the shortage of trip reports from the Mexican cruises. Thanks.

Regarding the weather, has it been unseasonable cool? We are cruising in August and I wasn't planning on taking any long pants or jackets.

It is their rainy season so you might have rain. We just had overcast on the 6/11 and windy at sea. Cool in Matz about 72. It was real cold on Deck one night and I had jeans and hooded sweatshirt on with the hood tied on and it was freezing outside. Also inside the air conditioning in parts of the ship was real cold.

Uggh....I tried posting a reply twice but have had problems with DH's laptop.

Weather: The weather was a little chilly yesterday but we had fabulous weather the rest of the cruise. Puerto Vallarta was hot & humid. Mazatlan was nice & warm. Cabo was hot but not too humid.

Debarkation: We spent less than 10 minutes for debarkation. We had the 9:00 breakfast at Lumiere's and took our time to enjoy breakfast & talk to the servers. There were no lines at customs or to get our luggage. The customs agent asked us a few questions, even the little ones. When he asked DD, "when is your birthday" - she said "tomorrow" (it's a few months from now) but he let us through anyway. :rotfl:

Shore Excursions: In Puerto Vallarta, 3 of us went on the Los Veranos Canopy Tour (not the tour offered by Disney). We had a BLAST and would recommend this excursion to the adventure seekers out there. The longest zipline is over 1/4 mile long and the highest zipline is over 520 feet high. It was such an exhilerating experience and the last zipline took us directly to the restaurant/bar area (no 20 minute hike uphill).

DM took the kids to the Dolphin Swim offered by Disney.

In Mazatlan, we went horseback riding with Randi's Happy Horses. Everyone had a fun time...even though we're not experienced riders. DD (3) rode on her own horse that she named "Princess horse" and she was led by one of the guides. We ended the ride at Victor's restaurant and ate lunch there. The kids played at the beach (no jellyfish) and later the staff at Victor's had a pinata for the kids. It was definitely an adventure getting to Stone Island (open air taxi, water taxi, tractor) but it was an interesting was to see the "real" Mexico.

In Cabo, 3 people in our party went shopping and the rest of us took a water taxi to the Melia Hotel (near the Mango Deck) to relax at the pool. We paid $12 for 6 of us to get there & $10 to get back. After visiting the Melia, I took the 3 year olds back to the ship and DH took the older kids on another water taxi around Los Arcos and did some sight seeing. I believe he paid $30 for their "tour" (for 4 people).

My sister is on your cruise and she called me yesterday at 5:40 pm saying the ship was delayed and had still not left Port. Do you know the reason for the delay? ...Just curious
DH went to a question & answer session with the ships officers and a person asked this question.....

The answer........late passengers.

RaeAnn...

Thanks for posting! We're sailing July 9th, and it is so nice to get information from those before us! Just a few questions:

I know you said you were in group 3...when did boarding begin for group 1? Does everyone in your party have to be present to check-in? Also...once you check-in and get a boarding number, do you have to stay in the terminal or can you leave and return when it's closer to boarding time?

How was formal night? Did they do anything special for Father's Day?

According to your navigators, is Twice Charmed on Monday night or Wednesday night? And is Who Wants To Be A Mousketeer a nighttime show?

Kim :flower:
Boarding for group 1 happened around 12:15 or so. 1 person checks in all the others in their stateroom but needs to have passports (or birth certificates & id) for the other passengers. You do not have to stay in the terminal to wait, you can leave and return if you'd like.

It was nice to see a lot of families dressed up on formal night.

No they didn't do anything special for Father's Day but there was a limited edition pin (500 edition).

Twice Charmed is on Wednesday night and Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer is a daytime show (on Friday).

Rae Ann - Thank you for posting from the ship! I have a question about the schedule for the week. It has changed a couple times and I wanted to know what it is this week. Last schedule posted(that I could find) was from the 6/4 I think. It was:

Saturday--casual attire--- rotational dining----show Welcome Aboard
Sunday---formal night---Golden Mickeys menu---show Golden Mickeys
Monday---casual attire-- rotation menu----show Gary Delena comedy
Tuesday---pirate dress----Pirates In The Caribbean dining menu---show Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy movie & pirate deck party
Wednesday--- casual attire---rotational dining menu--- show Twice Charmed
Thursday--semi-formal attire---Captain's Gala menu---show Disney Dreams
Friday---casual---Til We Meet Again menu---Farewell variety show

Is it the same for this week or has it changed? Thanks for any info!

~ Bethany
The only thing that has changed is on Tuesday they had "The Pacifier" instead of Hitchhiker's Guide. I suspect that the upcoming cruise will have the new Herbie movie instead. BTW - we had a prem"EAR" of Herbie on our cruise at 12:01 am on 6/24/05.

We Had The Most Wonderful Time!

I have lots to say, but need to rest up first!
What a perfectly wonderful trip we had! I am sorry I did not get to meet all of the wonderful people on this board, but those who left surprises at our door just made my days! Please identify yourselves so I can thank you properly! I wish I had not been so busy with our large group and had participated in that myself. I love things like that. Certainly made the trip more magical...IF YOU CAN EVEN IMAGINE THAT!
I loved meeting the Dis'ers that I did meet. A few of you met some of my kids, and missed me by seconds. Next Time!!!! I really don't have time to write all that is in my heart right now, but this I have to say....BEAUTIFUL weather every day except the very last day...and that day was sunny, but chilly. Still it was SMOOTH sailing, and NOT ONE of my large group got sick, nor did we meet anyone that had anyone in their group sick. The cast members on board did admit that previous sailings had some bouts of sickness and that it had decreased considerably. We just felt so lucky the whole trip.
More later...if you have any questions...fire away!

:goodvibes thx again to all for the excellent details shared on this thread!!

Reguarding weather, even in august the beaches in so cal are cool in the evenings. I expect the first night, and maybe the next day will be cool. It really depends on how cold is cold to you though. I know some people need sweaters when the temps hit 75, others are fine in the 60s.
