LIVE FROM THE 10/11 Cruise!!

Thanks for all the updates. It's ALMOST like I'm there with you. I am pretending to be on vacation with you guys. Everyday I have been waking up and thinking 'Where are we now? Day at sea? Grand Cayman?'

We had to do something touristy this week so we did Washington, DC on Sunday and George id 'touristing' in Secaucus for work. Not as good as the Caribbean but my imagination is really getting a workout.

Hey folks! First time I've had a chance to get on here since the cruise started and man, am I having a great time! So much to do, so much to see and this has been the best day so far! Snorkleing with the stingrays... man, what a trip.

I haven't seen a whole lot of the group; SueEllen and Barb have had me running all over the place, but I hope to get to know a few of you before the end of the cruise.

Looking forward to Tulum ruins tomorrow, more snorkeling and a bit of history. It's also Mexicali night and I got a really cute outfit in Grand Cayman and, surprisingly enough, it matches Tony's shirt! That was an odd coincidence.

Also looking forward to shopping in Mexico.

So much for that, wish you were ALL here!

sO Jealous about the RAinforest!! Think of me while you're in there!!!

I can't wait tohear about the ruins. We were really looking forward to going there this time when it would be a 'little cooler'

WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY! The best so far! We did Capt. Marvin's yesterday and it was really GREAT! Then Palo last night for dinner (that's why we missed Eric and Anja winning the crusie).
Today we went on a dive/snorkel trip with Eagle Ray Divers with TwinAve and family and Viking (Eric and Anja). IT WAS UNBELIVEABLE! the places they took us and the personal attention they gave us was wonderful!I promise more details when we get back!
We skipped dinner and walked around Cozumel and had dinner in a local Resturant, then bought some t-shirts and gifts.

Eric and Anja were not going to be back on DCL for at least 3 years but now it looks like they will be joining us for 10/02/04 to Antiqua.
When we were outside Carlos and Charlies (looking at the menu) a couple came out and said "OMG there goes our ship"!! The y were on the Carnival ship and it was pulling out of port. She said to her hubby, "What do we do"??? He said RUN!!!!
It was too late, the ship was almost clear of the dock and they were half a mile away!. I can't imagine NOT knowing what time to be back to the ship. Still, I feel sorry for them and hope they were able to tender out to the ship.

Sail a way party is starting to crank up so I will go for now. Miss you all! I'll post again soon.

Wow, you are having an amazing time!!! Keep it up!! Have a blast!!!

You guys need to get back to cruising in Sept.
George and I were thinking when we rescheduled that the bills from the Oct cruises came too close to Christmas.
Anyway, can we convince you folks to bump it up 2 weeks earlier for Antigua?

Mary - you aren't joking, are you?! This did appeal to my "warped" sence of humor because I am still laughing....

SORRY!!

Hey, what's the deal with the stateroom renovations -especially 5622 (deck 5 aft) - thanks!

Tell Eric congrats - good to know that he will be with you next year - makes the "family" more fun that way to have ALL the members!!

Thanks to all for the updates. It has been fun cruising with you.

My family will be on the September 18th Antigua 7 night. It would be nice to have a big group of Dis People on board!

Actually, I think I have a couple families we know convinced to go with us. We are really looking forward to it! And what fun to be the first to visit a new port for DCL!

Everytime I read reports from the ship, I get 'home sick'. DH and I have started referring to the DCL as our 'vacation home' :boat: .

Cozumel was fantastic! We did a dive/snorkel tour with Eagel Ray Divers and it was the highlight of the trip (so far).
Rae, I know you are wondering about your room. Bettemom and Kim had a SPR reserved and were told it would not be available. The changed them to a different inside room. They were very disapointed but still having a great time. No one seems to know just what the problem is with the rooms.
We did a group photo with about 40 DIS'ers today in the atruim next to the Mickey statue. Someone began singing M...I..C..K...E...Y..ect! It was a blast!

Ave won $200 in BINGO

I was NOT kidding about the couple who missed the ship. Someone told me today they saw a very distressed couple getting into a small boat at the dock just after the Carnival ship pulled out! So I think they made it. BUT, They were in such a hurry, they left all their packages behind!

Update on bringing beverages on board. I was stopped with my luggage cart with soda and beer and asked to "cover up" the beer. Since I had already checked my luggage the nice man at the port gave me a plastic bag to wrap the beer in. SO if you are going to carry on beer or wine it cann't be visable!

I just re-booked for 10/2/04. Eric and Anja are going to try to book their free cruise for then, but will not know until they get home and look at the dates again.
I know there were some other questions but, now I can't remember them ...Sorry, just call me DORY!

Time to get ready for dinner. I have been taking lots of notes and will do a detailed report when we get home.

OH, our servers are Leroy from Jamacia, and Joseph from indonesia(?).

We currently have a quote for a Category4 from DU for the 10/02/04 cruise and was wondering if this date is the cruise for Cruise octoberfest III ??? does any1 know?!?

Thx for sharing your trip with us and KEEP HAVING FUN!!!

Boy, I wonder what is the deal with the Secret Porthole Rooms. I sure hope they don't change them from a Cat. 10 (we have one booked for each of our two cruises next year).

Well, no matter what we will just be thrilled to be on the ship!

Bettemom and Kim - they can smile and get through the storm regardless!! Great ladies with great attitudes!!!

Ave - lucky girl! Did she at least buy you a drink for it?!!

Forgot their packages too?!!! My word - too many Cuba Libres and that's what happens - miss the ship, forget your packages...hope they have a good attitude about it!

Had a fantastic day at Castaway Cay today. Bright and sunny with about 80 degrees. We pulled out of port right on time and are headed to Port Canaveral.

So far there are Papa, @GoofyNut, Relling Twin, Hygene 99, Bettemom and Kim, Arlo1, Alikat , CDN Mickey Lover, Scooter's Mom, Piglet 33 , Cheese Please, and possibly Viking going on the 10/02/2004 cruise. There might be one or two more I just do not remember.

Ahhhhhhhhh 80 :sunny: degrees, we never made it out of the 50's here in South Jersey today, in fact, our furnace just kicked on!!!

I'm with you Andy - but it is fall and we have to expect that when we don't live in Florida. At least we have not had to shovel snow yet.....

Figment...Like the "YET" after shoveling snow. We all know its coming YUCK DCL take me away.
