**live From Bwv & Dcl!! **

the internet is so bad...not sure if I can post any pics...I will try later.

Major waves...picture 100 people in a hallway...and at any given moment all 100 people sway to one side of the boat...and then a few moments later..to the other side. It's awful!! Everyone looks like they are in a drunken stupor.

That's what makes mw think I could never cruise - even though I really want to experience the Magic :(

Sorry the 1st night was so rough!! Hope last night was better!

Are those the lanyards you get for being a castaway club member? :teeth: I could really use some of those!

They are the lanyards you get upon check in for Castaway Club members. Are you saying that you want some? I think I could arrange that. Although maybe not, considering I gave some away in one of the ports as somebody asked me for them. How many would you like? If I locate them.;)

No worries Becky! Bob and I will get those when we get on the ship since I've cruised before. It's nice to see them and how they'll come in handy during HHN's too!

LAND HO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad to be back to civilization....back to Boardwalk actually.

SHORT SYNOPSIS:

Overall had a good time...the seas were way too rough for my liking. The first night was one of the worst nights of my life. The 3rd night was also a tad rough...

Having never been on the Magic before....we thought the ship was very nice.

The PROS for us:

The Exotic Rausl....if you can make time for this with your partner...DO IT!!! L O V E D it!! Our person never came back for us...so after 90 minutes we put our robes back on and left ourselves...I mean, honestly, after 60 minutes, there is only so much stuff you can do!! ;);):rotfl:. But seriously, both of us really enjoyed it, and would definitely do it again!! I actually took the camera in with me....rated "G" shots:

when you first walk in there is a small tile bench set up with towels, and massage oils

across is a small table with more oils, creams etc:

to the right is the shower

and across from that is the steam room....and man, was it HOT

dcl012.jpg

Castaway Cay...gorgeous as always....another must do: the Couples Cabana Massage. Both Bill and I really really liked it.....totally relaxing...and nice to do as a couple.

Palo....excellent food.....excellent service. Worth going!!

Some of the CONS for us...

Rough seas...obviously Disney has no control over that, but it was an eye opening exerperience for me.

Our Dining room server and assitant server were TERRIBLE!! Some of the worst service I have ever experienced in my life!!! Completely disorganized would be the kindest statement I can make.

Internet as always was horrendous. Most people were credited back the entire amount spent.

Sorry the seas were so rough!! And the dining room service? NO way! Sorry!!

questions -

1 - did you still tip the full amount for your dining room service??

2 - what is the exotic rasul? Sounds...um...interesting!

we had prepaid the tips...so yes

Exotic Rasul
Experience this pure retreat for two. Pamper each other in the privacy of a secluded chamber and steam room. Indulge yourselves with body mud, aromatherapy massage oils, a host of fabulous facial care products and more.

Sorry the seas were rougher then you would have liked.

As for your servers. Did you say something to the head server who manages the dining room?? You should have and they should have made things change.

Enjoy your time at WDW.

Sorry to hear about the rough seas, but I'm glad you found some highlights :goodvibes

Chris and I just booked a Norwegian Cruise for October 20 through October 24 :goodvibes This is our first family cruise and the first cruise for Chris and I since 1991. We are doing 2 nights at Vero Beach before the cruise. I'm stress because it is only 3 weeks away, but I'm excited too :cool1: :cool1:

Kristine enjoy the rest of your trip! Sorry about the servers & rough waters, sounds the rest was good though :thumbsup2

Glad you're back on land safe and sound! And the Rasul sounds very, um, interesting!

I was on this cruise too and rough it was! Dear Lord. I have never felt anything like that first night either. People all around us were sick and I really knew it was bad when I saw the crew buying seasick patches! Just curious Kristen, who were your dining servers? We were always the last ones in the dining room because they took so long between courses. It was weird.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

Kristine - everything sounds wonderful, except for the rough seas. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself!

Alicia & Olivera...you?

we had Louis and Toby who were nice enough but it was just so slow. Not what I am used to for sure.

Kristine,

I'm really glad you are back on land again. So sorry the seas were rough.:sad1:

But it looks like you had a good time anyway. So happy about that. Enjoy the Boardwalk. That looks like my next DVC destination! I want to try them all.:goodvibes

Kristine -

Just read through your trip report and your pictures made me feel as if I were there. We will be staying at the BWV and just to see it made me warm and fuzzy for the day. Sorry to hear about the rough seas though. We are crusing on the October 25th Halloween cruise. Hope it is not like that. We have never had that rough of seas.

That rasul sounds very interesting. Think the DH would like it. Maybe next time.

Have a great rest of your vacation!!!:dance3:
