I just checked out the print on eBay and it's the same one we received during our stay at the CR about a month ago. It was on the desk with a note it was complimentary to celebrate the opening of Bay Lake Towers. I'm not sure a lot of people would even notice or figure it out, it was just there with some magazines - but there could be a lot of them out there.

Wow, it's up to $31.00. I'm keeping mine!

The fireworks were breathtaking tonight! We have always stayed at the CR MK view so I thought ok no big deal. It was. I think almost all our neighbors were on the balconies to watch too. We could hear the songs as well. I will never tire of the fireworks, especially this view.

Great! I am so looking forward to my MK view room...

So what's the verdict on top of the world lounge access? Did they restrict it to members only? cash guests?

From what I've read, it looks like it is only for DVC members staying at BLT. Someone posted on their blog that her overheard a cash guest complaining because they were not allowed up to the lounge....

Can you drive up to the entrance (ie. drop someone off)? Is luggage taken at the Contemporary or at BLT? Where is valet? Thanks.

>For now you check in at the CR. Yes you can drive up to drop off or pick up in front. I am sorry don't know about valet, we didn't use it. It is much easier to drive and park here than at CR. because it's closer to the door. Hope this helps.

We are here at BLT & LOVE IT!!! Mike, you have to add on again - seriously, it's that amazing. We just got back from the ToTW lounge. So beautiful! The apps & drinks were great & everyone is so nice up there. Would you believe that it didn't even close to capacity last night? Crazy. We are adding on more points asap!

Right now Members only, based on discussion from the Resort forum this policy and the exclusiveness of BLT is not popular with some.

It will be interesting to see how this one plays out.

This has me looking forward to our trip in October!!!

Right now we are booked in a Bay Lake view and waitlisted for MK view... been on WL for months so I'm not holding my breathe. We will be happy either way.

I'm thinking after we stay there, I'm going to have to really consider adding on there and then unloading my SSR points...

You can drive up to the main entrance but no valet, BLT has a small foot print so parking close to the entrance is possible. It also has a designated loading/unloading zone making it easy to handle your baggage. All the entrances/exits are key coded eliminating the need for permanent employees. I can see why the maintenance fees will be lower at BLT, it has a very efficient design with a great location.

Yep...I was in the lobby at BLT when someone was complaining about it (they were cash/non-dvc guest).... not sure if it was the same guest or not. I am in the opinion that if you want to use the TOW then join DVC....otherwise the CR has a free deck on floor 4, and of course the deck on the top floor (go eat at the California Grill and there ya go)... While it is true a cash guest spends a lot of money to stay at BLT, the DVC members spend a lot too and commit to a 50 year $$$ to the resort with dues and such... I was polite to he guy in the lobby and told the guy what the DVC kiosk guy was not allowed to say and that was "You could always join DVC".

Do you mean bell staff is at BLT if you drive up there or there's a designated spot to pull up to in front of CR if you are checking in to BLT?

We checked into BLT through CR lobby....they brought the luggage to our room at BLT.....BLT is part of CR (its even in the name).... so bell services etc all originate from CR main tower....I was told this, and this is also what I observed...so I say it is as such.

Ouch, you are too late, the $69 one is gone, the seller sold the first one for $49, (the second one $69) and now he/she has a third one for $99. Who knows how many pins he bought.

I usually have bell services handle our luggage but the loading zone was so convenient, I saved a few bucks and unpacked myself. The resort has two elevator locations (north/south) so upper floor rooms are a fairly short walk.

As a BLT owner, I am well aware it's part of CR.

I don't think you both understood my question but what I'm gathering from your responses is that you (DVCPat) drove to the front door of BLT after having checked in (so you had a key to get in the door) and unloaded your luggage, handling it all yourself. The words "designated loading and unloading zone" in your original description is what was confusing to me.

To recap, it sounds like there is no special place to pull up in front of CR when you check in that differentiates you from CR guests (that's how I read your original post), but that it is easy to handle your own baggage if you pull up to the front of BLT after checking in. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not missing details about check-in that should be in the BLT Q&A thread, but it sounds like there's nothing really different to report.
