I don't even have to tell you to get a milkshake tonight, do I? Do they still put popcorn on your table? Did you get to sit in the car? You have to sit in the car! How many times did you see the "coming attractions?":3dglasses:laughing:

Did you get to go in the singles line for RRC? That would be sweet. And, finally, did you use the singles line or did you get a FD for TSM? That is just the best ride!

I'm not there yet lol!

I plan to get a car, will not get a milkshake, (I'm not fond of ice cream) and hate roller coasters.

So far I'm just waiting for the bus back to POR. it's been 20 minutes already. :(

TL was very crowded, so the premium seating was worth it.

Now that I'm finally back at POR I'll relax for a while and head over to DHS at about 6:00. Dinner isn't until 8:20 so I have lots of time. :)

Get there a tad early and stand your ground about the car - it's a late ADR so I'd think it will not be much of a problem. Not a fan of ice cream (lactose intolerance), but those Shakes are darned yummy. :teeth:

Enjoy a lazy afternoon and delightful evening at MGM (yep, still MGM to me ;)).

You do sound very relaxed - a well deserved solo trip. :goodvibes

Did you find my expensive sunglasses in the wave pool? Somehow, a big wave knocked them off my head last August and Lost and Found claimed they never found them.

How many thousands of sunglasses, jewelry, bikini tops, toupeés... are there at the bottom of that wave pool? I know there's at least one pair of Bollés:3dglasses

I'll take everyone's ice cream! Does this mean you guys never eat the Kona Kone at the Poly or the Ice Cream Bomb at TTS?

Okay, there is something seriously wrong with me....in 30 years, maybe 50 resort stays..I have never noticed either of the above on a menu!!

Will admit to being an old resort/MK snob (some would call it a stick in the mud :rotfl:) as I've never dined at TTS - nope, I want the Town Sq Cafe back....it will be a long wait, I know.:upsidedow We had breakfast there on our last morning of every visit - history will say it was not there long, but it was long enough for us to make it a tradition. And not a fan of Kona because it took over another Poly restaurant - which name escapes me as I type.

And while we're on the subject....what the heck were they thinkin' when they took Capt Cook's and moved it from across from Tokelau (still Maui to me). It had a screen door that slammed every time a barefoot guest came in -okay, so maybe not really barefoot, but that's the kind of place it was....you know, like an on the beach snack shack. LOVED it..not a fan now. :sad1:

Do you truly eat those desserts???? Alone???? :rotfl2: Both look yummy and if I ever eat at Kona again, will ...might...try that one. Since I'll never eat at Tony's, will sadly not be able to try that one. (I do eat ice cream now and then, but pay a price for doing so ...worth it for something that yummy!)

Wonder Karen is doing today while we hijack her thread? :thumbsup2

First, nothing is seriously wrong with you, but with all your resort ranting, you really need to come over to the Resort Changers' thread here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=40822762#post40822762

We've got photos of babies, kids, ourselves, we talk about Target and of course, we've got changes, plenty of them, real and imagined. Even CRRF4L is over there.

Second, when you ask if I eat dessert alone, do you mean by myself or without an accompaniment, like fried pickles?

I have never had the pleasure of a trip alone - ever (you may have seen on the WL thread that DH and I have yet to be away together overnight from DD12:upsidedow.) But, I do eat those desserts at WDW! I love the Kona Kone and I'm usually the only one who orders it. The Bomb is also fantastic, but TTS is not on the list for our next visit.

Screen doors?! Did they hand-out fly swatters, too? Ah, the good ol' days. Speaking of which, this is one of my favorite WDW sites that covers WDW's glorious past in color photos:

They are great - if you love ice cream - and I do!

BTW, there is a new Ben & Jerry's flavor we all love: Late Night Snack. It has chocolate covered potato chips in it! YUM-O!

Hi gang! Sorry I disappeared for a bit :)

Just got back from V&A and OMG that was WONDERFUL!

More when I take out my contacts and can see to type.

Karen, we're waiting to hear if you got a car & dinner, what you did today, what ya wore to V&A...oh, and what you had for dinner there!!! :goodvibes

(as you can see, we kept the thread "live" by hijacking it.... ::yes:: That's what friends are for. :dance3: )

Better leave one in just in case you need to look through the peephole later. You are at a moderate after-all:laughing:

Thank you for saying what I've been thinking. Did you wear flip-flops and a tank-top to V&A? Were you in the backseat or the front? We've been very patient today and at the low wages you're paying, we can't keep this up much longer.

LOVED BYOFS, Christine! Of course, since it's the Poly, they'd actually have the fly swatter that says "Polynesian Resort" on it. They get all the cool resort branded merchandise. However, I will say, that the other resorts are supposed to get some and/or more RBM probably by Sep. Did I just go off on a tangent? What is off topic on this thread anyway?

Nothing is off topic! Lol

Ok. So last night I had a chocolate milkshake, the spinach and cheese appetizer (ok) and the ruben. The food obviously isn't the big draw to that place. :teeth:

I sat in the back of a yellow car, and really enjoyed the whole thing. Except for the food.

I saw Fantasmic at 10:00 and met a lady with her 5 year old son Anthony in line and we sat together.

Then raced to TSM and had a half hour wait. The ride is ok. My score was 159,000. Not bad for a first timer!

Oh and thanks for hijacking the thread to keep it going-it's very much appreciated!

So wildlife at POR is varied.

I saw an armadillo, (in front of my door) a large black snake (at the main pool),
Several squirrels, a host of lizards, lots of mosquitos, a very small alligator, and a large heron.

Must sign off for the night - will check in the morning to read about V&A!

Oh, yeah, some of the food at Sci Fi is definitely not the best - but I have read some rave food reviews....never anything I've ordered, so I go for the ambiance. Brings back memories of drive-in movies with my parents when I was 10 and living in So CA. :)

So glad you got a car!

Nighty night!

Holy cow!!!!! That's why I never walk around any Disney resort alone at night....something tells me you did not see all these creatures at night though.

:scared1:Changing the subject:rotfl:When we stayed at Disney with DS who was 2 at the time, all he did was squish lizards:eek:

Waiting hear more about V&Apopcorn:: and your continued adventures, Happy Easter!!!!

POR aka Wild Kingdom

That must have been kewl seeing an armadillo but not so kewl seeing a snake :scared1:

Looks like Karen's flight departed from MCO - even 5 mins early! I am sooo happy her flight down was a breeze - it will make the return much easier.

I did get a text this morning from MK - think it was MK - so she must have had a wonderful day.:cool1:

Karen, safe travels and looking forward to a TR! :goodvibes
