Checked into AsSpo last night at 9:45, did online check in so just had to pick up my packet. I had requested ground floor near DSA, and got ground floor.;)

The king room is really nice and very clean. No dirt, dust, or dings in the room. The bed is comfy, but the comforter is not lol. The buses are running very smoothly, it only took us 15 minutes to MK and back. We didn't share a bus either way.

Did eveing EMH at MK last night, rode POTC, JC, AMC, IASW, SWSA, Tea cups, and saw Philharmagic with no wait. Did wait for Speedway, but had no wait for AO. Very low crowds last night, biggest wait was for HM - the new queue is great, and the hitchhiking ghosts at the end of the ride are so much better than they used to be.

No spoilers! But the new ghosts are definitly the highlight of the ride now. :goodvibes

The food court is ok. Haven't really had much from there yet. Last nights dinner was a Dole whip. ;) But the breakfast was ok. The coffee is your typical WDW coffee.

So far I like it here. There are a lot of sports teams, softball, dance teams, lacrosse players, baseball, and soccer, but they aren't really around after the morning breakfast rush.

Was suppossed to do AK today but am going to skip it to hang out at the pool and to go look at Music and Movies.

SO glad you arrived and have a ground floor room! Gotta love the palm trees!
Glad you like ASSP - another stay or once is enough? I've heard the food court is not the greatest there - POP seems to be much better.

You sure did a lot last night after a long night of travel! Enjoy the morning of leisure. AK later today?

Have fun!!! Oh, where's dinner? :)

p.s. I'm first!!!

HAVE FUN HANGIN AT THE POOL TODAY! SOUNDS LIKE CROWD LEVELS ARE LOW, WHICH SURPRISES ME. THANKS FOR YOUR LIVE TRIP REPORT, LOOKIN FORWARD TO MORE!:yay:
I'M JEALOUS, WISH I WAS THERE!

Thanks!

I'm done with pool time for now - I have a sunburn. :teeth:

They do have a DJ at the pool in the afternoon, and they also have a movie at the pool at night. I had just missed it when I got in.

The room carpet is so clean that I'm barefoot. I'd never do that at some of the other resorts I stayed at in the past. But the floor here passed the "white sock" test.

Although there are a lot of sports teams around, they aren't all here at the same time so it's not crowded at the pool, food court, etc.

I just got back from lunch and their chicken ceasar salad is the best one I've had so far on property. Best of all I was able to get extra dressing for it without an arguement. :)

I got dizzy going back and forth from the PTR to the Resort Changers' thread, but I managed to find you over here even with your bad link:rolleyes1.

No dirt, dust or dings is a major accomplishment for a WDW resort and now you're barefoot and sunburned? You are really letting loose (it must be the extra dressing;)).

We want dinner details!

Glad you made it safe and sound and that online check-in worked and you were given a ground floor room like you requested.

A DJ at the pool sounds nice and they have movies too, wow. My DS and Ddil stayed at ASSpo back in 2008 and he did not like it and that was all my DH had to hear, I am glad to hear your having a good time and the food court is good.

Great that you were able to utilize EMH at MK and get so much done.

Hope your having a wonderful time today and the weather is good for you !!!!

I was doing the same thing - head spinning!! :rotfl:

I agree - no dirt, dust or dings - are you sure you're at a Disney resort?! ;)

Barefoot and sunburned... wow....you have kicked off your shoes!!:dance3:

Yes, dinner details, please! ::yes::

Hi everybody!

Sorry you all had to bounce around after me. :(

I guess my changeitis has gone to my threads.:)

One thing that might bug folks about AsSpo is the huge crowd of noisy kids i:cloud9:n the pool at night. It sounds and looks like a huge pep rally and the din is deafening.

Dinner tonight was at Bistro. And it was incredible. :goodvibes.

I had my window table and had a great view of Illumlnations.

The food was perfect The waiter was perfect Coffee was delicious and it was my dreams fantasy dinner. :)

More later! :goodvibes

I just walked from AsSpo over to AsMu. It took me 15 minutes from main building to main building. Music is not as green as Sports, but it is a heck of a lot quieter. :)

I'm happy I picked Sports over Music.

Now to pack for tomorrows move to POR.

It's great you are having fun!! I love POR:lovestruc

Have often read on the boards that Music is the quieter of the AS resorts - a draw for some, not for others. Glad you enjoyed your 2 nights - now off to a resort you'll enjoy even more. Can't wait to hear about your room location at POR!

So glad you had a great dinner at The Bistro - and a window seat for Illuminations!! Perfection!

I remember last year when you and the boys were at Poly CL, the moved to AKL CL - that was some trip. ;) Oh, and all the pics you took for us of lagoon view rooms at the Poly to see if palm trees were blocking the view ? :thumbsup2

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Enjoying your live report!!! Glad you enjoyed sports, hope your sunburn feels better, OUCH

Thanks guys!

I actually miss AsSpo :) I will definitely go back there.

I left AsSpo this morning at 10 am and went to the Hess gas station across from PI to buy some cigs, then walked back over to the Marketplace, went through WoD, then to Ghiradelli for a chocolate soda. That was breakfast. Bought an unfortunate dress at Trend D ;) then caught the boat to POR at 12:20..

Check in at POR was smooth and easy. I left my cell number for a room ready text, and as I left the desk I got the text that my room was ready LOL

I have room 1418, ground floor, very close to the food court. I am very happy with the room. :)

More later after evening EMH at EPCOT.

Forgot to mention that H20 has a wonderful solar relief gel. ;)

Aww...who would have guessed! It is sure a different environment - meaning the difference in resorts. I think if I was solo, would probably enjoy a value b/c so much is going on all the time. :)

Enjoy your evening - any dining plans? :)

How great was that getting into your room at POR so early and in a great bldg too :thumbsup2

I thought that was only given out in club level rooms?

What are today's plans? Taking the boat to DTD? Where will you dine tonight?

So glad your resort change went smoothly. Sounds like you are having a great trip. Can't wait to go on HM, its been one of our favorites!!!
