Live from AKV

I have been at WDW since Monday 12/15. Four nights at OKW in a studio, bldg 26. Everything fine. Last night at AKV. Unfortunately have to go home today. Wonderful weather this week. 70's/80's sunshine, no rain - probably the best weather for the whole week, I've ever experienced. Staying in a value studio in the Giraffe area. I was pleasantly surprised to find an extra closet when I tried a door that I thought was a lock-off door. Voila! a closet. 5018 is room number. Overlooks pool. I love this resort!

Room 5018 is a dedicated studio. Most but not all of the dedicated studios in Jambo House have a closet. I'm curious about the size of the closet. Is it just big enough for the ironing board, vacuum cleaner, etc. or was there room to put anything else in there? Is there space to hang clothes? And did the right hand side of the wardrobe unit have any hanging space? That is normally used for the ironing board and vacuum in the studios that don't have a closet but from what I've been hearing, even if it's not needed for that purpose they still didn't put in a pole to provide any additional hanging space.

You were really lucky with the weather. We were at WDW a week earlier and the weather was a mixture of warm days, cool days and chilly days. We saw the forecast for the following week as we were packing up to come home and noticed it was all high 70s/low 80s the entire week!! Lucky you!!

hey we were neighbors, we are in 5024 from the 13th til the 24th. The value 1 bedroom is a tad small, but works for us as we have 2 little kids. I love AKL/AKV and this room location is convenient to the pool, market place, etc.

Lisa, I was pleasantly surprised at having the closet in the value studio. I was prepared for limited storage space but didn't mind since I was solo. The closet was a good size with a rod to hang clothes and a folding luggage rack along with the vacuum cleaner in it. The wardrobe had the typical split closet for hanging clothes and the other side had the extra bedding, etc.
This value actually had more storage than the Savannah View Studio we had
in September. The weather was wonderful. Best weather for the whole trip that I have ever had. I've always enjoyed the record weather when I come down - the hottest, wettest or coldest on record. Loved it!!
