Hi folks. I just wanted to return the favor for past posters. We are rolling. Jim B and cast are all over the place. I talked to a writer and he said they brought a total of 157 people with them. We have stood next to many of the sat members in many different places. I would hate to be pestered as they are ALL of the time. The weatehr was great about 74. We rushed and ran for several things and are now ready to relax. We got in to Orlando 1.5 hours late and it was 1:15 before hitting the sack. We got here early and still were about the 75th folks on. I am goping to our meet now MAYBE more later.

Have a wonderful cruise...hope the regular guests are not too displaced due to the filming of the show.

If you get a chance could you get some names of what Cruise Staff is currently onboard...they are the great CM's that host all the game shows, pool activities, theme nights, bingo, etc.

Would love to know if some of the ones we know will be onboard next month. Thanks.

MJ

Its always so good to hear from those on board. I hope you all have a "magical" time, and good weather all of the way. I think it will make it more of an adventure since you are cruising with the JB crew. I am sure he is absolutely a riot. Seems like the "guy next door" kind of person and would really be good to the fans.

Enjoy!::MinnieMo

Have a MAGICal time, love hearing live reports from the ships!!!

Thanks for signing on BAKAROMA! Can't wait to hear more as the week slowly progresses!

HAVE FUN!

Bakaroma:

I posted this in another thread about this same cruise. I'll insert the information to this thread as well since you may not check the other one.

Sorry for the double post to others who have seen it before.

I was at my computer this morning checking emails and surfing the DIS board and decided to check the Key West webcam. Much to my surprise, I was just in time to catch the Magic on her approach to the dock!

Quick thinking and I was off doing screen captures, pasting and creating new documents on my computer like a wild woman! The result of my efforts can be seen by following this link.

There are 60 frames that are included in this animation of the Magic docking. There would be more but I don't know if my computer was freaking out due to all the ram I was using or if the webcam in Key West just wasn't refreshing for a period of time.

This file is for cable/dsl users only because of its size 737 kb).
Disney Magic docking in Key West - January 18, 2004

This file is for dial-up users -- it is much smaller 216 kb.

Hint: After the page plays once, click the refresh button on the top bar of your web browser to see it repeat in a faster mode.

If you want to save the file to your computer, use this link.

Hope you enjoy!

PhotoLisa...the animation was great...thanks for sharing.

Hey everyone, I was just thinking how perfect it would be for John Belushi to take part in either the John Travolta lip sync competition or be one of the Village People during the 70's/80's night theme night onboard!!!! Anyone who has attended one of these knows how funny it would be and would make really good TV!!!

Or, maybe he and onscreen wife could take part in the MATCH YOUR MATE GAME!!!!

What a classic episode that would be!!!!

I sure do hope you mean Jim Belushi!!!

It was hard to get up this morning, but once we did we had a great character breakfast. Afterward we spa'd and hung out with Jim B (he was there). Then we went to the pools the weather was PERFECT!!! Same at KW until about 4:00 we saw the storm coming and got to the boat before the flood gates hit. PALO tonight, but no romantic sunset before thanks to the storm. More later. HAVING A BLAST!

Have a great time - sorry to see the weather isn't cooperating for a Key West sunset. :sunny:

Hope the rest of the trip is great!

PhotoLisa - nice animation. My DH does those and I love them!

Bakaroma - thanks for the info. I hope everyone is wearing their DIS shirts. Imagine, the DIS makes it to National TV!!!

Have a MAGICal cruise.

when is the abc tv show going to be on tv and what show is it? have a great cruise

From what I've read, they are taping a few episodes for the ABC's sitcom "According to Jim" and will be shown in February.

Andy and PhotoLisa -- awesome pictures! That ship is so darn beautiful!

BAKAROMA -- I hope you are taking a lot of pictures and plan to share them with your DIS family! You are so lucky to be on that cruise right now -- I *love* According to Jim and think it makes your cruise all that much more special!

Well wish we were still there with you. We are Just back from our cruise. It was great we were the ship ahead of you..... the 1/10 Magic. We got off the ship at 8 am - no prob - very smooth - spent 1 night at the beach club villas and caught the 8 am Sunday Song flight to CT . Pulled into our driveway after a slippery and dangerous drive and we have 8 inches of snow in the driveway. DH is outside snowblowing now... but we brought the "Tropical air" up with us because it was 32 degrees vs the record lows (-4- a high(?) of 10 ) that they had here in CT while we were gone. We had a great trip hope you do too .

Giving a Shout out to Laura who we met in the Laundry on deck 2 on night 3 just before St John and Mike with the navigator veranda from 7128! On our cruise we had 2 people win a 7 night cruise on the "Who wants to ..." game show ( very worth going to alot of fun - better for adults and older kids - great for the tween crowd) and there was also a 6000.00 BINGO Jackpot given away. We also had PERFECT weather!!! We miss Orlan and Alvira our servers already! Cant wait for next time when I will most definately get the Veranda! take care enjoy the cruise!
