Dh, ds 18, ds 10, and I are here now for a very short trip (13 - 16 Sep). We ate lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express.

DS 18 had the roasted turkey sandwich

DS 10 had the cheese pizza

DH had the turkey club

And I had the pesto chicken salad sandwich

Everyone liked what they ordered.

Next up: Tony's and MNSSHP!

Had an ADR for Tony's for 5:55, but we showed up half an hour early and were seated within 5 minutes.

I ordered the mushroom ravioli and loved it. I don't know why Tony's has the bad rep it does.

DS 18 had the chicken parm and loved it.

DS 10 had the cannelloni and liked it.

DH had the cioppino and loved it.

We didn't get dessert since we'll be getting treats at the party.

Ate lunch at Downtown Disney today. This time we went to Earl of Sandwich. We haven't had a sandwich there we didn't like, and today's meal was no exception.

DS 10 ordered the Original 1762.

DS 18 had the Hawaiian BBQ

Both DH and I chose the Chipotle Chicken Avocado

I think I found my favorite sandwich!

Dinner this evening is at Cape May. This will be our first time there.

Thanks for the kind words!

We had 5:20 ADRs for Cape May. I was able to check in at 4:55, and we were paged at 5:15 (yes, we tend to be early eaters). Overall, the restaurant was good, but I don't know if we'll return. DH is the big seafood water in the family, and I chose Cape May mainly for him. Since the rest of us didn't partake much, it didn't seem worth the cost (189 w/tip). Also, there was a huge gob of fat in my steak.

I took pics of DH's and my plates. There are only so many pics you can take of buffet meals.

Tomorrow: A day of Kona. We actually came down here for MNSSHP and to visit the Kennedy Space Center (KSC is tomorrow, so we're eating there before we go and after we get back). It's our last family trip before DS 18 heads off to basic training. Since we're staying at Shades of Green, the Poly is very convenient for eating. It's yummy, too!

Kona is always a must-do for me. It never disappoints. Our ADR was for 7:30. We showed up a bit early, but because the restaurant doesn't open until 7:30, we had to wait a few minutes. We were seated promptly.

DS 18 ordered the Tonga Toast with sausage. Tonga Toast!

DS ordered the Two Egg breakfast: scrambled eggs, home fries, biscuit, and sausage.

DH ordered the Big Kahuna:

I ordered the Tonga Toast with bacon.

Everything was very filling and the service was excellent, as always.

We're now on our way to Kennedy Space Center for the day and then Kona again tonight.

thank you so much for your photos and reviews..
OUr favorite sandwich place EVER is EoS...Hubby loves the Original and I always get the FULL MONTAGU...oh my ..happy that there isnt a place like that around here..I would eat it every day..

Your review on Cape May is similar to our experience...we are Maine people and we love our seafood...we were not 100 percent impressed with it...

Anxious for your evening review of Kona...
thanks again

Just finished with Kennedy Space Center and am on my way back to WDW. Just a side note: If you get an opportunity to go, the Atlantis display is absolutely awesome! It's also sad because it marks the end of an era. The place of my employment (The Band of the Air Force Reserve) played at the final landing ceremony. Sadly, the Band met its end as well and is deactivating this month.

Anyway ... Sorry for the tangent. So, it's not Disney food, but we grabbed something to eat at the Orbit Cafe.

DH and I thought the Tex Mex burger sounded good. We were wrong! It's a burger with Cheeze Whiz, chili, and jalapeño slices. Yuk! I was expecting maybe pico de gallo or something ... definitely NOT Cheeze Whiz and chili! DS 18 ordered a chili dog. I think DS 10 exhibited the most common sense than the rest of us by getting a plain cheeseburger.

Here are pics of the so-called "Tex Mex" burger and chili dog. It looks like something my cat wharfed up.

I'm definitely looking forward to Kona tonight!

We were seated at Kona about 5 minutes after our 6:40 ADR. The restaurant was more crowded and loud than what we're used to (probably because we're normally early birds with our dinners), but it certainly did not detract from the excellent service and food.

We started off with the yummy bread, DH had a Malibu Macao, and I had the Lapu Lapu. Yum!

DS 10 wasn't very hungry, so he ordered the cheese ravioli off the kids' menu. He didn't eat much.

DS 18 had the coffee pork chop and raved about it.

DH had the scallops and cleaned his plate.

I ordered the Ahi tuna, and it was by far the best dish of the trip. It was awesome!

For dessert, DS 10 had the sundae with chocolate ice cream. It's amazing how he always makes room for dessert, lol.

DS 18 ordered the Kilauea torte and inhaled it, so it must've been good.

DH and I both had the banana chocolate creme brûlée, and it was delicious, as always.

Kona is our must-do every trip, and I'm never disappointed. I'll be reviewing Whispering Canyon tomorrow morning. It will be a new experience. Will I love it, like it, or go "meh?"

Just finished our last meal at Disney: Whispering Canyon Cafe. Our ADR was scheduled for 9:05, but we were seated immediately when we showed up 45 minutes early. The restaurant was nearly empty when we got there but was quickly filling up by the time we left.

I must say that I really enjoyed our experience. Our server was engaging and the antics weren't over the top.

Both boys ordered the chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes with bacon, and DH and I had the platter.

Everything was great. I was nervous about the eggs (I don't like them runny), but they were nice and firm.

This trip reminded us how much we live WDW so much that DH and I have decided to cancel the cruise we were planning for our 20th anniversary next year and come back to WDW instead.

Thanks for reading!
