Littleton HS in Littleton, MA is under a lockdown right now! its all over the news! i guess there was some kind of threat made against the school. I hope everything is ok...

Some high schools around here do "regular lockdown drills".. but they are unannounced to the students.

The faculty/staff are somewhat aware (like they know what day/ but time unknown)

I learned this when my daughter was at a preschool housed in a high school . Right before preschool started, we got frantic calls from the teacher in charge -- saying the kids are on a lockdown drill, don't bring the younger ones.


One time during lockdown drill, they brought the drug sniffing dogs, and found some pot in lockers.

its all over... the police and SWAT teams said that the threat is not "validated". thats great news , but those poor kids must have been terrified!

I only caught part of this on the news, but from what I heard a guy called up and said my son just took all my guns and is headed to the school. How terrifying!!! They did say that it was just a hoax, but still, thats awful. What kind of sicko does that?

I remember when I was in HS 91-95 there would be the occasional bomb threat, but I never even considered that they were legit or that my life could actually be in danger.

Sadly I imagine any hint of a threat of deadly violence sends feelings of terror to every single student.
