littlest pet shops

remember - you do not have to eat Happy Meals - you can just purchase the toys themselves - if you are willing to pay that way.

The one thing we learned - at least back when they had the Disney sets - each store will get a couple complete sets. When we were collecting the Disney set we just went around to a few McDonalds (it helped that we were travelling the NYS Thruway at the time) and asked about the complete sets.

:wizard:
Do you happen to recall how much they charge for the sets (or individually without the food)?

Individually without the Happy Meal, the toys are about $1.xx
I do this occasionally like when they had BAB. Sometimes I get a Happy meal for dd and then ask them which others do they have that day and buy them.

AWESOME to know about McDonalds...very exciting!! We will be eating lots of McDonalds again!

Our McD's charge $1.69 for the toy and $1.99 for the happy meal, so we get the whole meal.

I'll take any excuse not to cook, and this looks like a good one.

We just had McD's for dinner tonight and I was coming here to post about this!

On another note.....I went to my Target tonight to see about getting a price adjustment on the tin set.....they didn't have anymore in stock and when the scanned my tin it still rang up $24.99. I would have loved to get $10 back! Oh well.....

I checked two Targets and the lady even called a third. No price adjustment. No sales, she said they sold out at $24.99 and are still ringing up at $24.99. I bought several so I thought it was worth a shot. But they are nice at $24.99 and DD's friend's mom wasn't able to get one and she really wants it, so we got it for her Birthday which is the day after Christmas.

I went to the Limited Too tonight and they had a huge rack of LPS (in the past, they only had several.) They had many of the newer ones, such as the fuzzy looking chick, chinchilla, new cats & dogs (I even saw a puppy), packs of 4 in a tube (included the butterfly/dragonfly), two different cases filled with 10-15 pets (included cats, dogs, pandas, monkeys), "furry" diaries (choices were a dog, cat, or pony), a medium sized spiral notebook with a few pets on the cover....and...well, I can't remember anything else. ;)

The only drawback was they charged $6.XX for the 1 pet (whereas Target, Wal-Mart only charges $4.XX or sometimes $3.XX.) I had a 20% coupon (it's here on the boards if you want it) to negate some of the charges for it, but I still wouldn't pay that much unless I wanted one of the rarer pets.

I am still need a couple more ferrets, I hope I find them soon. :3dglasses

A new ferret is supposed to be released after Christmas, and comes with a carrier.

I went back to Target, as well and was also told there had been no price decrease. The store had sold out of the tins so the store clerk called her manager who called someone else to see if the price had gone down anywhere else (where maybe they still had some in stock). He was told that these had not been discounted anywhere ib the region and that if they were, it must have been an error. At least it's not happening in my area.

So, those of you who got a PA, be glad. I bought 9 sets (one for DD and 8 to ebay later), so a PA of $10 each would have been really nice! Oh well.

boy no wonder people can't get them, people are buying tons of them for ebay......I hate that

I bought 2 at Target but it turns out I only need 1. :) I have one available if anyone who couldn't get one needs to buy it for their kidlets. No mark ups! won't list this on ebay. First one to PM me, let me gets it.

I'd be happy to let them go to those on the board who didn't get one. I was thinking about taking them back anyway. I have 2 spoken for here for friends, but have the others available. I won't hoard if others need one.

Send me a PM if anyone needs one.

My DH and I were talking about these toys coming to McDonalds...I remember how excited my DD was when Polly Pockets were at McDonalds and how disappointed she was when she got one...I wonder how the pets will stack up!?

The one extra I have has been spoken for.

I totally agree. . . .I am glad they started making them pay taxes over a certain amount made.

I haven't sold anything on ebay in about 8 months. I thought it would be an easy way to get some quick extra holiday cash. No need to be flamed for it. I've offered to sell my extras here at cost plus shipping to anyone here that needs one, so please stop being so grumpy. Three are gone so I have 3 left.

Ebay sales have always been taxable, no matter what the amount. Some people sell on Ebay as their job. If you don't like it, you have the choice not to shop there. I don't think it is fair to flame someone for making a living, just because you don't agree with it. I have a problem with Walmart's practices, but I don't berate people that work there, I just shop accordingly. It can be tough to make a living, so I understand people do what they have to do (as long as it is within the law, I have no problem).

But, the people who want to pay a premium and buy them on Ebay are able to buy them. Don't their kids count? I saw plenty of these items at Target the first week they were out, even saw a few yesterday. If anyone had to have one at retail price, they could have.
