Little tiny things that irritate you about WDW...Let's vent.

The crowd-herding. That's the only thing that grates on my nerves after a few days. Being herded into this room, then that room, then that line, etc. It's like any minute there will be a Border Collie nipping at your ankles.

It's ironic that it bothers me because I always sing Disney's praises when it comes to crowd control...how they do it so well. And I know that THAT is how they do it. It's just irritating after a while.

No free wireless internet access.

What irks me to no end is people taking advantage of wheelchairs/scooters. As the parent of a child with special needs this sends me right over the edge.

How do you pick out the ones taking advantage?

Wait...before anyone answers that, let me go get my popcorn

popcorn::

:rotfl: ...just kidding, but you KNOW where that's gonna go!

a little girl on a leash at Crystal Palace that was trying to beat up Pooh Bear! :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: Well, now you know why she was on a leash. Perhaps she just needed a shorter one so she couldn't get to poor Pooh.

They are? Really? I didn't know that.

I always thought that if I needed to go from Epcot to AK, for example, I'd have to bus to a resort, then switch busses to AK.

Maybe I've never looked hard enough, but I've never seen a bus stop at a park that will take you directly to another park.

I also didn't think there was a bus that goes from Epcot to the AK. I thought you had to go a resort or transportation center first. That's how it was a few years ago.

One of my peeves is similar to one already mentioned. A larger family or group members walking side-by-side taking up most of the sidewalk or street area.

Me too, you can stay at any budget motel and get free wireless but not on Disney property.

Yes, and how do you know which ones are taking advantage? ;)

I agree with the merchandise situation. I used to spend a ton of money on souvenirs, but I rarely buy anything anymore, nor do I bother to look in the shops in the parks. They carry the same stuff that my resort does! All generic. I hate that.

I also get irritated during parade situations. I can sit down on the curb 2 hours ahead of time to get a good view, and it never fails that someone will show up 15 minutes before the parade and try to shove their kids in front of me or practically stand on top of my head the whole time. :headache:

I'm also irritated at all the princess meals popping up everywhere, particularly in the castle and at Akershus. They used to be my two favorite restaurants, but I can't really go there as an adult with no kids.... character meal with Mickey, sure, but not a PRINCESS meal.

What irks me????? I have to say that it's not anything that DISNEY does, but rather some of the "guests". I guess I am tired of hearing/reading about when something goes "wrong", the person's vacation is absolutely RUINED (didn't get the exact room they demanded......ummm...requested along with a free upgrade to concierge) and they expect Disney to give them a full refund.

What I am trying to say is that people have such UNREALISTIC expectations and don't mind acting like a horses' behind.

Well, that was just one.......there are SO many more. I'm gonna shut up now!

The castle restaurant is all character meals, all the time, with pricing to match!!! Hey, how about opening lunch for the non-character set? Please???????

Why are people more likely to stop and talk on a bridge? Really, Dh and I were laughing over it on our last trip. Never fails, if it was some sort of a bridge people were standing in a group, in the middle of it talking. Ughhhh, move people! Take it to one side or the other. (And then move it out of the walkway.)

Well I know this:

MK- Epcot : Monorail (via TTC)
MK- AK: Bus (via TTC)
MK- MGM: Bus (via TTC)

Epcot- MGM: Bus OR Boat

I was almost positive Epcot and MGM were connected to AK by bus. Maybe they aren't?

EDIT: Ok...Dolce27 cleared it up. Thanks!

I went from AK to Epcot last year via bus, so yes, there are park to park buses. However, doing it your way you get to check out different resorts. :thumbsup2

They are. We are park hopping fools and hit 3 parks a day frequently and 4 parks a day once in a while. The only time you have to bop to a resort to get to a park is if you are at Downtown Disney.

The coffee - WHY WHY WHY can I not get DECENT Coffee while I'm on vacation. What I wouldn't give for a Starbucks by the end of the week. Not that I'm DVC - I bring my own coffee from home.

Coke Products - We are Pepsi people. And I understand having only Coke products in the resorts and parks - but the Hess gas stations also only have Coke products in their stores!

DH & I would agree with you wholeheartedly.

Right, because they suspended the Downtown Disney-->Park service several years ago after people took advantage of the free parking.

The condition of the bathrooms is deteriorating.

Couldn't agree more! On my trip last month, I was shocked at how gross the bathrooms were. The bathrooms at rest stops are cleaner. :sad2:

I also agree with the internet access charges. They are just plain highway robbery, IMO!

This isn't about Disney World specifically, so it doesn't exactly count...but the heat in the summer. I hate that I will never be able to go in the summer again because my British fiance wilts in heat/humidity. :(

I also wish you didn't have to book TS restaurants months in advance.

The dining reservations thing irks me too. I do not know what I want to eat 6 months from now. I wish they would make it 30 days. :)
