Little People, Big World ~ Season 6 ~

I don't think money is there big issue. I think they are like so many other couple they have just drifted apart over the years. Instead of them talking things out they just go in other directions.

My heart broke for Amy last night watching her cry, I 100% believe that was real raw emotion those weren't fake tears:sad1::sad1:

I totally agree with this. I think their problems are common in many marriages.

Matt had no problem vacationing in Hawaii by himself.

And he did fine in the Virgin Islands also.

I 100% believe that was real raw emotion those weren't fake tears:sad1::sad1:

I was really taken aback when she started crying, I've watched the show for a few years now and I've never seen her show emotion like that so I really felt it was true raw emotion as well, it was heartbreaking.

I could not believe what I was watching last night. OMG, Amy was so ripping angry as they were leaving for the trip. How many times did she have to turn around and go back to the house? Why would she tell the kids that Matt would figure his own way to the airport. Then all of them forgetting ID's and cowboy hats...etc. BUT they are usually always running behind whenever they are heading to the airport. I have never watched an epi w/travel that there isn't CHAOS in that house prior to leaving. :sad2:

Me, I would like to see her more angry like that at the kids and the way they treat each other and the way they have trashed their rooms and of course their schoolwork. ::yes::

I loved the trip and the views. My family went to BRYCE CANYON in 2001, it is absolutely beautiful. I kept saying to DH last night that I want to go to a dude ranch like the "Rockin R"!!! ::yes::

I agree with the PP that said this conflict between Amy & Matt must be so hard on the kids. :sad2:

Wow, and I agree Matt's health seems to be declining so rapidly. He seems in allot of pain. :sad2:

Why wasn't anyone wearing helmets while riding on those horses???

I'm new to this thread, but I have been watching the whole season. I enjoyed the episodes last night, but I don't know why they go on such long vacations. Last night we were wondering how they could stay at a ranch for that long. I could do maybe 3 days MAX of ranch vacationing becuase it doesn't seem that relaxing and I am all about relaxing vacations.

I sure hope that Matt and Amy can work these things out. They truly love each other. Matt was 100% correct when he said that they are just always on a different page. I think they just need some decent couples counseling to get through this rough patch.

Both Matt and Amy are having a transition occurring in their lives. Their children are leaving for college. This affects Amy more than Matt. And they are getting older and realizing that they will have to spend more time together. Things will be about them again, not about the kids. That's a tough transition that any married couple has to make later on in life.

I don't think they will get a divorce because the love is there.

Interesting that Matt said Amy is no longer a teacher.
She must have quit last year already.

I wonder if they are going to go back and show the twins graduating.
Apparently they did the dude ranch this past summer.

My dh is a total work-aholic. I'm not making excuses, but I totally know Amy's frustrations trying to deal with that kind of personality. Matt seems to do what he wants, when he wants and thinks it is okay. Like Molly said, "the ranch will be there tomorrow, it's not like it is going to run away." Plus, Matt didn't cut short his trip in the Spring when he went to the Caribbean to get back to the farm.

Watching Amy cry at the end of the episode was really heart breaking. I think she is so heart broken, knowing Matt will do what he wants, when he wants and he doesn't care if he is missing out. I always tell my dh, that I am going to put on his headstone, "Gee, I sure wished there would of been more hours in a day to work."

Yeah, it was tough to watch her crying. I really think that this show will be a big help with their relationship. Just being able to see the personal interviews and the dynamic of everything will help Matt gain a perspective on the situation.

I don't think Matt means evil in any way. I seriously think it's a communication problem, which seems to be the root of most problems in marriage, work, and life in general. Matt is driven to work on their farm, but if he sees the anguish that it is causing on the rest of his family first-hand on the TV show, he might cut back a bit because, from what I see, he truly love his family.

TONIGHT!!! :happytv:

New episode tonight! Amy goes to Florida where she's the keynote speaker at a charity fundraiser and golf tournament. While she's there, she volunteers at a relief organization and has an inspiring visit to a children's home.

I haven't watched the show much recently, but just before tonight's episode my DD popped her head in my bedroom and asked me if Amy & Matt were getting a divorce.. She then went on to tell me about Amy crying at the end of the last episode and the things she was saying..

All I could say was that I wasn't surprised.. I've been saying for awhile now that the marriage appears to be in serious trouble and I wouldn't be surprised if the ended up divorced.. I think the real clincher would be if the kids left home (or at least the older ones) because they appear to be the glue that's holding the family together - even as bold and irresponsible as they are..

When it comes down to the day that it's just Amy & Matt - alone - I don't think it will work out..:( They have never been on the "same page" - about finances; the house; how the kids are raised; etc. - and I can't imagine what they would even have to talk to each other about.. Sad..:(

LOL all I saw was when she was showing it. LOL

I'm laughing because I thought the same thing: Amy's getting a tattoo? :scared1: Then I saw him using the airbrush gun and realize Amy hasn't changed that much. :rotfl:

TONIGHT!!! :happytv:

Little People, Big World On tonight's episode, Matt escorts the Salman family out of Baghdad into Washington, DC and on to Roloff Farms. The Iraqi family experiences a cultural whirlwind as they emigrate to America with the hope of finding freedom and getting life-saving surgeries for their children.

That should be good

I don't really watch the show but I was on Oasis of the Seas last month and they were filming the show on this ship...Amy is very clear on what she wants and what she doesn't! Ran into them alllll over the place...:confused3

Cool, was it the invitation cruise that the Royal Caribbean sent out?
I know Amy and Matt love cruising, some DISer spotted them 2 years ago and had a picture.

It was a pre-inaugaral for TA's (and guests) only..and I guess 'little people' too!!!;)
If they love to cruise I imagine this was ideal for them to film an episode on!
She was in the loft suites at one point and very concerned about her 'lighting' lol..
