Little People, Big World ~ Season 6 ~

Sorry, our cellular phone company only charges for outgoing texts, we don't have to pay for incoming. I know it is easy for a teen to do 250, but 2 of my friends kids had over 20,000 in one month. That averaged out to almost 700 a day. They told their phone service company that their kids would virtually have to be texting their every waking moment of their day.

:scared1: I hope they had unlimited texting on their cells.

New episode TONIGHT! :happytv:

Mother's Day weekend is also the twins' 19th birthday, and Matt shocks everyone by announcing that he's going to Hawaii - alone. Feeling abandoned, Amy does her best to plan a fun camping trip for the kids.

Should be interesting.......

Why did Matt go to Hawaii by himself? I hope it was for a business trip. I was mainly watching Dancing w/ the Stars & flipped here during commercials.

I though it was so sad when Zach was in the confessional talking about how his parents need to work on their communication & relationship.:sad2: Just seemed way to much for a 19 yo son.....

I am worried about Matt and Amy. It is obvious that they are going through a rough patch and the children are aware of the situation. Jacob always looks so sad.

It wasn't for business. He just decided to go and stay with a friend. He justified it by saying it was a vacation for Amy when he was away. He seems so selfish. I think it's just a matter of time for these two.

Both epi's to me were once again disturbing. Amy & Matt not seeing eye to eye and instead of sitting down and talking about it they go in separate directions.

Amy buying all that camping gear when I am so sure she has everything at her house IF ONLY SHE COULD FIND IT with all that disorganization within her house....:sad2:

I was mad about the whole BB incident. Ya, Jacob is a brat when he shot Zach from a distance in his leg.....but to stalk Jacob and then go up to the car and open the door and shoot at HIS FACE.....very disturbing. Thank goodness, Molly was there to intervene. Jeremy just watching and doing NOTHING.

What is with Amy taking the twins to colleges when they have NO DESIRE to even be there. They (esp Zach) have no desire to even be in school, any school. And all this crap about Zach having LP issues is ALL IN AMY's HEAD.....Zach is just simply LAZY. He does not want to do his schoolwork and that is it. Amy blames it on being an LP and allows him to STAY HOME FROM SCHOOL when he is a SENIOR.................Amy needs some kind of intervention because she is just not thinking right AT ALL. :sad2:

Matt tells Amy he will wipe the table down over by him, she misunderstands and gets all UP IN HIS GRILL..........she would have NEVER said a word to any of those FOUR kids if they were sitting there SPITTING at the table.

Just one big
TrainWreck1.gif
AND I do NOT think this has anything at all to do with TLC or being on the show AT ALL. JMHO.

The show started this season, with the twins in soccer, which is a Fall sport, then it jumped to Amy taking the twins to visit college, then the show jumped to Mother's Day weekend and the twins birthday?

Then the next show was back in March because Molly got a B+ on her report card? 6 weeks later, it showed Molly got her grade back up to an A. They didn't even show last year, the Fall of 08 Pumpkin Season, Christmas and I'm betting the next show will be about the twins graduation.

If you think about it, word would have gotten out if Matt and Amy seperated or divorced.

And last nite show? I think Zac got crazy and when he opened the van door and shot Jake, it was a little too late. Jake went and got the gun-Beebie gun and Molly had to come out and take the guns away. Zac was almost greatful that Molly interceded, but with him being 19 and Jake 12, Amy and Matt both should have done something. Zac could have gotten it for assault.

I noticed that the episodes were not chronologically ordered too. More so last season when you could see the progression of Jacob's casts. And, the first episode of the season was Matt going to Iraq, then a few episodes later their friend Mike passed away and Matt didn't go to the funeral because he had to go to Iraq, then towards the end of the season, they had a family dinner and Mike was there! No continuity at all!

I have watched the show all 5 seasons and I do believe that Matt and Amy are on two seperate worlds. The kids have always been lazy and nothing has ever been truly expected from them. Every time I watch the show DH says, "are you watching that dirty family again."
I wonder if the kids also receive a check for being on the show?

Not that I don't think Matt and Amy have major problems, I do, but JMO I also think that TLC had such great ratings with the Jon & Kate blowup that now they're trying to build episodes featuring the same type of tensions with the Roloffs. Here's what Matt says on his blog:

20. Don't leave us hanging, are you and Amy really going through some marital problems, or is the show playing up what small problems you do have in order to make it look like more than it is?

Matt's Answer:

Yeah I think the show is playing it up to make it look like it's more than it is. Amy and I are both definitely going through some changes. But I think they are making those changes look more like marital problems. Amy's doing more on her own. She went from being a school teacher and now she's out and about more and doing her own thing. But no, I wouldn't say we are going through marital problems as much as I would say changes as individuals like anyone goes through. The only difference with us is that people have a chance to watch and dissect us. Which is what we signed up to do. A lot of marriages go through changes and you never get to see it. Even close friends may not see it. But in our case, we have cameras here to see it. You're getting the luxury of seeing it good, bad or indifferent. Amy and I are deeply committed to each other and I don't think that it's as catastrophic as people may think.

I guess only they (and TLC) know the real truth

I definately feel like I'm staring into the tube (well flat screen LOL) watching this family fall apart. They see it (at least Matt and Amy do) so why don't they learn a lesson from J & K and take a time out?

It seems to Matt is really clueless when it comes to Amy, I'm not sure he would know if things were bad or not. It seems like he's in his own world lately. There might be some creative editing going on, but Matt and Amy actions are heading toward divorce:

Do I think they'll end up divorced? Yes..

Why are they continuing the show? The same reason the Gosselin's did - money.. Amy is always concerned there isn't enough and Matt spends it on his wacky ideas like it's water.. This will be TLC's next, "Stay tuned for the big announcement" series..:sad2:

Another show I don't watch anymore - unless I catch it by accident while flipping the channels and there's nothing else on..

TONIGHT!!! :happytv:

Nov 30, 8:00 pm
Little People, Big World
Little Slickers

It's a Roloff family first as Matt, Amy and all the kids rough it on a Utah dude ranch. Cattle-drives and a fun poker game add to the excitement, and everyone waits to see whether or not Matt will get on a horse.

Nov 30, 8:30 pm
Little People, Big World
Unhappy Trails

With lots of dude ranch fun yet in store, Matt decides to leave the trip early. After Matt skips several activities, he goes home, leaving Amy to finish another vacation alone with the kids.

This season continues to be difficult to watch although there were definitely some funny moments in tonights episodes but I had tears in my eyes watching Amy at the end of tonights second episode, it was an emotional side of her that I've never seen before.

I am having difficulty watching this season. Yes, Matt always leaves vacations early. But you have to admit, they seem to be on vacation anytime the kids have a school break. That's a lot of time off work. Maybe Amy needs to take a different stance regarding "family" vacations. Maybe they should plan shorter (3-4 day) "family" trips or long w/ends w/ Matt. The longer trips should just be her and the kids. The kids are picking up on the tention b/tween Matt & Amy. Amy has got to keep these "signals"/emotions away from the kids.

Some people have a hard time "vacationing". That doesn't make them uncaring people. A married couple learns to work w/in these boundries so both people are happy.

I also wonder how much of the "blame" is on TLC. They want big ratings for their show. They know of the difficulty Matt has with vacationing. I don't believe for one minute the family pays for all these long expensive vacations. I can't help thinking TLC is arranging/tempting/paying for these to cause more family drama.

I don't think that's the issue here. Matt had no problem vacationing in Hawaii by himself.

In most cases I would agree with that, but I really don't know in this case. Personally I don't want to watch this type of drama. Maybe it's just too much after the whole J&K saga, I don't know, but I really wonder how much it will help the ratings.

I don't think money is there big issue. I think they are like so many other couple they have just drifted apart over the years. Instead of them talking things out they just go in other directions.

My heart broke for Amy last night watching her cry, I 100% believe that was real raw emotion those weren't fake tears:sad1::sad1:

It is tough to see them going through this rough time. I also find it hard to see how Matt really seems to be going downhill physically. It seems a lot harder for him to get around.
