Are Under the Sea at MK and Voyage of the Little Mermaid at HS different enough that it's worth doing both? Right now I'm planning on doing Under the Sea on a morning EMH and have a FP for Voyage of the Little Mermaid.

Similarly, do you watch both The Seas with Nemo at Epcot and Finding Nemo at AK? I currently have FP+ booked for both.

Thanks!

The Voyage of the Little Mermaid in HS is actually a stage show. It is not a ride. That is the difference with Nemo also. Finding Nemo at AK is a stage show and the other in Epcot is a ride.

Right! A better question to ask would be Mermaid at MK vs Nemo at Epcot. Not sure which I'd pick...they're the same ride. ;)

All four are completely different (well, except for being based on the same movie for each pair):

DHS Little Mermaid and AK Nemo are both shows. Little Mermaid DHS features live actors and animatronics, and mostly follows the storyline and songs of the movie. Nemo is entirely done with Broadway-caliber puppets, follows the storyline of the movie, adds new songs (written by the same people who did Avenue Q on Broadway), and is really just a must-see show,

MK Little Mermaid is an animatronic dark ride, following the storyline of the movie; it's a fairly short ride.

Epcot Nemo is an entire pavilion containing:
1. A dark ride through a "sequel" where Nemo gets lost again and goes through the same sorts of scenes as the movie, ending with scenes projecting the characters into an aquarium with real marine life.
2. The rest of that aquarium, with lots of different smaller exhibits to look at.
3. Turtle Talk with Crush, a show with "live animation" like the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor in MK, where kids in the audience get to ask Crush questions.

If the line's too long at MK, you might consider skipping that ride, but I wouldn't skip any of the other three, and you shouldn't be worried about the overlap between the four rides/shows/pavilions.

Great, thank you so much! I had read the descriptions on the website, but I just couldn't tell if it was the same story in two different mediums. I didn't realize Epcot Nemo was like a "sequel", that should make it a bit more interesting! I'll keep our plans the way they are.

Nemo at AK is a hugh theater- don't waste your FP. Line up 20 min early and you should have no problem getting in. We've been there all seasons and always get in. As the other reply states, the attractions you mention are all different. are all very different. Also, I am pretty certain that the Voyage of the Little Mermaid is not open for EMH. Toy Story Mania, Star Tours, Rockin Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror are. Nemo at EPCOT is a steadily moving line and moves quickly; another one I wouldn't use a FP on. I don't think we have ever waited max of 15 min from entering the building to getting in a clam shell.

Nemo at EPCOT is not a sequel. It follows the movie story line.

Thanks for the feedback! The way our schedule worked out we are spending 2 half days at AK. With so few FP choices, I'm using them on things we don't really need them for. Day 1 I have Safari, FoTLK, and Tough to be a Bug (though we may skip that one if we're tired). Day 2 we have Dinosaur, Nemo, and Kali River Rapids. My kids are too short for EE and PW.

For HS I FP'd Toy Story, Little Mermaid, and Disney Jr. We're hoping to hit Star Tours and Muppets during EMH.

Yes it's definitely worth it to do both things, as they are completely different aside from the movie they're based off of!

Little mermaid at MK: ride through like Haunted Mansion. Go through the story of the little mermaid while riding in a clamshell

Little mermaid at HS: about a 15 min show with a singer on stage portraying Ariel. Also animals and black lights with CM's moving them

Finding Nemo at Epcot: ride through like Haunted Mansion telling the story of the Finding Nemo movie. My favorite part is the aquarium after the ride

Finding Nemo at AK: 40 min broadway like show with big hand puppets. No one in my group cares for it so it's an easy skip. I'd only recommend it if you have small children who love finding Nemo or have never been to it. One time for that show was enough for me.

OK, this is one of those YMMV things, because the Nemo musical at AK is one of my favorite things in all of WDW!

(Edited: because it was a long day and I can't tell the difference between AK & Epcot!)

Nemo at EPCOT is not a sequel. It follows the movie story line.

It follows the events of the movie, but it's a slightly different story. Instead of Nemo getting caught and Marlin going to rescue him, Nemo goes through the same scenes Marlin does in the movie with Marlin & Dory following behind. Nemo AK is the exact movie storyline.

And of these 4, not only is the Nemo musical at AK my favorite, but it's one of my favorite attractions at WDW.
