I am going on the 3 night Bahama cruise NEXT MONTH!!! YAY!! Anyway, it's our first cruise, so we wanted just a taste--and I keep reading that that is really all we are going to get. So what kinds of activities/offerings are on the longer cruises that are not on the 3 night?

Ready? Go.

Too much to list!
Start with time to enjoy the ship. Sea day. Sea day activities on board (family, adult). Tastings. Art of Entertainment series. Theme nights. Formal night. Captain's Gala. Many more character experiences than on short cruise. Palo tea. Palo brunch. Relaxation!!! More entertainers. The list is endless!

They really try to cram a lot into the 2 1/2 day cruise, but it won't work.

4 more days :thumbsup2
:cool1:

Reminds me of an old Carol Burnett theme song -- "seems we just got started and before you know it, comes the time we have to say so long."

After such a short cruise you'd have to drag me kicking and screaming to leave that soon -- I get depressed disembarking even after a 2-wk Disney cruise. Have never had that problem with other cruise lines. :confused3

Cruises with at least three sea days, basically a 7-day cruise or longer, have character breakfasts.

Its not so much a matter of things not being available on the 3-night. Its more a matter of not having the time to do a lot of what IS available during that time.

The differences in the entertainment options between both itineraries is not a lot. Some shows might be missing, but for the most part its all there. You just won't have enough time to do it all.

But, since you cannot do it all even on a 7-day, my advice is, take it easy, enjoy your cruise and have a great time. The best activities on a cruise are the ones you participated in.

Hope you won't go on the cruise thinking of what you might miss. Think of it as a forerunner to warm up for a longer cruise in the future.

While there is a lot to do on the cruise, you may not be personally interested in some of it.

My advice would be to check your personal Navigator each day (will be in your cabin) and plan to take in that which interests you most. That way, when the cruise is over, you can feel as though you've done it all!

Have a wonderful cruise.

Don't worry about what is on the other cruises....until you book your next one!

Enjoy the cruise - we did our first cruise as a 3 night as well, as we weren't sure if we all would like cruising at all. We LOVED it and booked a 7 night while on board. I HIGHLY suggest that you book another onboard, even if you aren't sure when you are going to sail again. Once you leave the ship, that 10% discount and OBC are GONE.

DO NOT waste time waiting in line at the desk to rebook. You can fill out the little card, drop it off and they will leave the quote in your fish at your door. You can then just call the phone # to confirm that you want that cruise. We didn't know this on our first cruise and waited almost 2 hours on the last night to book our next trip. UGH. live and learn.

Try to board as early as possible to have as much time as you can to explore the ship. I would check out some recent Navigators to see what activities are offered so you have an idea as to what you would like to do.

Regardless of how long the cruise is, you can't do it all! That is why you book another!

Enjoy!

Character meal, sea days, time....

If its all you have vacation time for or funds for, then it's better than no cruise:goodvibes

I feel like I'm stating the obvious and repeating what others have said, but really this is what I missed when we recently sailed on a 3-Night cruise back in February...

Nights 4, 5, 6, and 7.
