What will you be celebrating?! We are celebrating my husbands 40th and our good DVC travel pals wedding anniversary too. It is so exciting to be visiting the most magical place in the world. But ssshhhhhh.......don't tell my husband it is a surprise. We have gotten the yacht at the Grand Floridian for his big surprise to watch the Wishes fireworks. This excitement is getting to me. We will be traveling April 23-26th with so many surprises set forth.......I CAN"T STAND IT!!!!!!

I've added you to the list, Scrufsmom! Do you want me to include where you're staying (where are you staying??) LOL Your plans sound awesome and I would just be busting keeping that a secret!!!!

We're not really celebrating anything in particular, DF's bday was a few weeks ago, mine is next month and also next month will mark 10 years we've been engaged. Yes...engaged. I believe that makes us married in some states. LOL Ooooo I would LOVE to get married in Disney!!

DF does a great job tolerating my mission of finding hidden mickeys, so along with that this trip, I'm looking on the Dis boards and finding EXCELLENT ideas of secrets and various things in the parks that I've walked past several times each of the many times I've been there and either never knew about or never noticed!! I have a pretty good sized list already of fun interesting things for us to investigate!! We also plan to resort hop a bit and check out the other resorts; we really haven't seen many of them as we're always so busy park hopping, but we figure if the parks are crowded, we'll just resort hop. That way I can also look around for other Disers and LGMHs.

Which makes me hafta ask...

How many of us going in April are packing our LGMHPCs and putting them up in the resort windows and on their bags?? I put them in my windows, I hang them on our backpack, my purse, and I have a few lime green Disney tshirts, a "focker watch" lime green tshirt and I'm ordering some Dis tshirts, lime green and gray. How is anyone else identifying themselves?? I'm hoping to meet some of you!!!

Have any of you met other Disers in the past? I've met a couple, did the lime look to a couple Disers in the parks and have gotten LGMHPCs left on my door by a couple Disers after they saw mine in the window.

Any other hidden mickey hunters here??

what are LGMHPCs? lime green...something, i assume. how does it work?

i've met other dis members at a dis meet once on our cruise. we all brought little gifts to exchange, some set up meals together, went on excursions together, etc. it was a whole lot of fun! and to finally put faces to all the people we've been chatting w/here on the boards. but of course, on the cruise, it was more "self contained"...

i'd love to do a little dis meet, but not sure how, since everyone would be so busy hitting the parks...so maybe if someone has an idea or two regarding a dis meet and how others have done it in the past...

LGMHPC - lime green mickey head paint chips. They are paint color samples from Home Depot. HD sells a line of Disney colored paints. The "lime green" that Disers have adopted years ago as our "official color" is actually called alien green. It's not uncommon to find the entire stock of alien green paint chips totally wiped out in most HD's as it seems Disers are everywhere! LOL! If HD sold them instead of giving the samples free, they'd clean up!

So this LGMHPC is looked upon as a way for Disers to identify themselves to each other. Typically they are placed in resort windows, car windows, on your person as pins, or luggage tags, key rings, hanging off of your purse, stroller, back pack, etc. Some Disers are very creative in how they display their lime green mickey heads. Some Disers create their own tshirts, etc. Disers like to buy anything lime green to wear to the parks and while at Disney - green crocs, green bags, some type of sling bag called baggallini that's lime green, you name it, if it's lime green, some Diser will be sporting it at Disney! LOL

Then, have you seen Meet the Parents? You know the gesture Robert DeNiro does where he points at his eyes, then at Ben Stiller in the movie when he says "I'm watching you, Focker!!"? (Focker being the last name of DeNiro's soon-to-be son-in-law). That gesture is known to Disers as the "lime look" - its just a hand signal Disers can flash at each other if you're at a distance and/or not close enough to say hello and engage in conversation, but you spot each other. LOL! I have a "focker watch" (as Focker was DeNiro's last name in Meet the Parents) tshirt that's lime green and has a face with mickey ears doing the "lime look" on it and I've met Disers with it! LOL

It's a lot of fun, it's like its our own secret club. Of course there's always the possibility that some non-Diser just happens to wear lime green to the parks and probably thinks people are nuts who flash them the lime look. They probably slowly back away and then run!

It's fun to walk around your resort and check out windows and doors for LGMHPCs cuz then you know it's a fellow Diser!

There's someone on here selling lime green and gray Dis shirts and they're only $5.00 right now. She also has those can coozie thingies and I think those little balls you put on your antenna that are lime green and say Dis stuff on them.

I just picked up our LGMHPC's tonight. I will be displaying them in our resort window and on the bag we'll be taking to the parks. We will be celebrating our youngest daughter's birthday and my husband's birthday! And of course we will be celebrating because it is everyone's first trip except me, but it's been at least 15 years for me.
