list of baby-friendly rides??

I have looked at allears.net and on the boards here, but I can't find a list of the baby friendly rides at WDW, specifically Animal Kingdom and MGM studios. Also if anyone has them, at Sea Worlds and Universal Studios/Island of Adventure. I'm trying to get a realistic look at how many rides an infant could ride on our laps.

At Disney an infant is allowed on any ride that does not have a height requirement. Now whether or not he/she would like it is a different story. Last year my one year old was fine with anything. We leave in a week, and I am not sure she will be as easy as a 2 year old because she gets afraid of things now. In MGM the only ride we went on was Backlot Tour and she was fine with that. She loved Beauty and the Beast and Playhouse Disney. In AK she loved Triceratop Spin (like Dumbo), the Lion King Show, and the Safari ride. She slept through It's Tough to be a Bug which I am sure she will not like this year because she is afraid of spiders! Have fun. There is really a lot you can do!

As far as US/IOA there really are geared towards older kids and adults. When we went there wasn't enough family things that an infant can go on to justify bringing the kids. Lots of height restricted rides and attractions. Seaworld is mostly shows so you should have no problem with an infant there.

DD slept through the Mermaid show and It's tough to be a bug show. Some things may be alittle loud, like Fantasmic. It never bothered either of my kids. Both fell asleep during it!LOL
We have always felt like there was so much to do at the parks with infants. Much to our surprise. The kids also just loved people watching and looking around at all the sights.
Let me know if you would like a list of the things we did with our infants at the other parks.

I will jot down these lists - Thanks! We are looking at going to Florida in December, with a 5 week old baby, so scare ratings are not a factor, except for loud noises that may startle the baby. My in-laws have agreed to go with us and my MIL hates rides, so she will sit most of them out with the baby. But we are trying to decide if there are enough shows/mellow rides/tours to justify buying her entrance ticket. If she is going to spend the majority of the day sitting on a bench, is it worth the $50??

To me, I'd prefer to have them with because I could feed the baby on demand, but I'd hate for my MIL to feel like she is a fixture we are setting aside everytime we want to go on a ride, so I was hoping to get a list of what she and the baby might be able to join us on to inform/prepare her and help us make the decision.

Let me just add that I am a chicken and won't even go on Big thunder railroad or Splash mnt.!!! There is still a ton of tame rides and attractions that I do. I never feel like I wasted money on a ticket because I don't enjoy fast rides. I did feel that way at US.

Use the baby care centers! There is one in every park. They are wonderful, air conditioned, with nice changing tables, rocking chairs, high chairs, private rooms for breast feeding, little tables and chairs for older siblings, very nice and clean and quiet.
We just got back and took our 8 month old DS.
The above list of rides looks good.
We took the baby on the Safari at AK with no problems.

Am I overlooking something? Children under 3 get in free don't they?

We just took our ds who is 1 and found that the volume and intensity of most of the shows and attractions really upset him. We were at US and went into Twister and my dh had to ask an employee to escort him and ds out after the pre-show ended because it was causing my ds so much distress. The cm was honestly shocked because (he said) infants are usually not at all bothered by it. I wish that was the case for us, but it wasn't. Just wanted to share my story since there are small children who may bothered by some of the attractions, even if they are technically "allowed" in/on them. You just have to be the best of judge of what your child will tolerate. Obviosly we are hoping our ds will outgrow his fears quickly as we will be returning the end of this year.

I think she is talking about the cost of the ticket for her MIL, not the baby. Yes, babies are free up to age 3.

If your MIL doesn't mind coming along and sitting on a bench most of the time, then you will probably be able to enjoy your time in the parks much more since you won't have to split up so much from the rest of your family doing the child swap. DH and I had our MIL along on this last trip and it was great because we could still go on rides together while she watched out ds (although she also likes the rides, so we all just took turns watching ds).

Those are just the ones that pop into my mind without much consideration.

Sea World is a must like someone else said it is mostly all shows, very enjoyable and relaxing.

Skip Universal with MIL and baby my two year old didn't like it either. Not worth. She never had any problem with anything at Disney.
