5K at Epcot
Friday, the alarm went off at 3:30am. I did not sleep well, as I kept waking up and looking at the alarm. We had to be to the bus by 4:00am and we had to get to the front on foot. We were over a mile from the Hospitality House, but I knew there must be an easier way to get there. I'll let you in on a little secret. Old Key West is on a golf course and I knew there wouldn't be any golfers out at 4:00am in the morning. I checked out the resort map and I realized that we could cross over one of the holes and be there in half the time. Just involved crashing through some bushes. No problem.

E was worried that someone would see us and call security. I figured if security showed up then they could give us a ride to the front and the bus.
We got to the bus and to Epcot in plenty of time. We found where we needed to be, took a few pictures and waited.....and waited. When it was finally time to start, we couldn't even get into the corrall we needed to be in. Finally got in and everyone promised me that Saturday would be much better organized. The 5K finally started and we had a nice walk around Epcot. You go through some of the back and service roads, which I thought was really neat. I love seeing behind the scenes. I wasn't worried about time today as we weren't being clocked and there were lots of people stopping to take pictures and such. and not watching where they were going. We finished in about 54 minutes, got our medals, took pictures and then got some food. Some very nice people were handing out bags of food.

We decided to wait around Epcot for the park to open and ride a few rides until our ADR for lunch in Italy.
E was feeling little slow (how was she ever going to do the 1/2 if a 5K tired her out), so I told her to go to Test Track while I went to get FPs for Soarin'. I was standing at the rope to go to Soarin' when I realized she was behind me. She wanted to know how to get to Test Track.

Now E has been going to Disney for like 20 years and for the past 10, once or twice a year and she needed directions to Test Track.

I gave her directions and then we were off to Soarin. Got FPs and I headed over to Test Track. Which was down. There was a problem with the pre-open runs and they were "working" on it. So, we went to see Ellen and the dinosaurs. After Ellen we rode Soarin', the Land and the boat ride in Norway. Then it was time for lunch. We were early and had to wait a few minutes for them to open. No problem. But, I ordered regular spagetti and couldn't eat it. I'm not sure what happened. I was hungry and fine when we went in and suddenly I didn't feel well and couldn't eat. I asked for some hot tea which helped, but I still couldn't eat. We left soon after and went back to the room for a rest and change before dinner.
Know what I love about hotels? Unlimited hot water. I took a long, hot shower and then laid down for a little while. I felt much better. We were going to POP for dinner and a WISH meet. We had to take a bus to one of the parks to transfer and it worked quite well. We arrived to POP just a couple minutes before my friend Sandy and her family. It was wonderful to finally meet Sandy after coversing for so many months here on the DIS. She had a surprise. She had made us all lime green scarfs to wear at the 1/2. I can not tell you how much I appreciated that scarf. I meet several other DISers that I recognized their screen names. We took a group picture and then got dinner. I was really hungry and got my pasta I missed at lunch. I always eat pasta the night before a long walk. Something I learned from one of my nephews. He always eats pasta before a soccer game.
After dinner, back to the room for another early night. We got all of our stuff ready for the next day and kept watching the weather channel. I was convinced that they were just predicting the absolute worse it could possibly be so people would plan. Oh Boy was I wrong.
