Liquor store near VGC

We were planning on ordering some beer and wine from vons.com with our grocery order but now that reports are saying you must be there to accept delivery at VGC, we are wondering if there is a convenience store or liquor store nearby to buy some beer. We won't have a car so would prefer it to be within walking distance.

I thought there was a liquor store located on Katella and West that you can get to by walking... Perhaps someone else will know better!

I dont know, but if I know a few day ago there was a post about DLH not signing for order that included alcohol. A later post stated they found a liquor store that would deliver for free. Take a look back and see if yiou can find the thread

There is one just kitty corner to the SW corner of the park. It's on Katella just across from the T with Walnut st. Walnut is the road running behind DLH.

If you ask a nice CM there is a service area behind the DLH pools that has a driveway onto Walnut. From there it's only about 2 football fields away.

There is an ABC store on Harbor...pretty close..with a 7-11 next door. My biggest concern was if you could get through the esplanade between the parks to pass through on your way to the Grand.

On the VGC owner's thread, someone posted that Wonderland Liquor store does free deliveries - it is on Katella:

That's my worry...so then you'd have to walk around..it seems like a long way..or maybe not...we may check it out, but someone in our party has a car this time, so maybe next time...
