Has anyone ever attended the liquor tasting events at the Top of the World Lounge? The pricing is $35 pp and it lasts about an hour. I'm interested but not sure whether it's worth it. Thanks for the help!

I was just going to post a questions similar to that. I was also going to ask where is everyone's favorite bar? We leave in 4 days and we want to try so new places.

One of my new favorites is the Nomad Lounge, adjacent to Tiffin's in Animal Kingdom. Very cool place with an excellent selection of specialty drinks, beer and light snacks. Very comfortable seating.

Nomad is fantastic. Very relaxing, lovely views. However, my last visit was before the Pandoraverse opened, so I'm not sure if its tranquil nature is no more.

Other favorites: the Tune-In Lounge in DHS, Tutto Gusto in Epcot (if you can get a seat), Dawa in AK, Territory Lounge in WL, the bars in both the Wave and California Grill, Mizner's in GF (bland atmosphere, but very stiff drinks), Top of the World, and the outdoor waterside bar at BOATHOUSE (in good weather). Special shout-out to the Swan/Dolphin lounges, all of which have great beverage programs.

I've not yet been to Trader Sam's or the AbracadaBar but both are on my list.

We went to the first one last week. It was a mixology class and they taught us how to make two of their signature cocktails. We each had our own drink making supplies and it was very informative. They also had small snacks that were paired with the drink choices. They greeted everyone at the door with sparkling wine. We then had our first session and made our first drink. We then were given a tour while they set up for the second drink. We made the second drink and then visited with our table mates. My wife and I sat with another very nice couple and it really was a nice experience. I recommend it for anyone looking for something different.

We have been here the past 2 weeks and stopped at Nomad twice, both times around noon and on days with morning EMH. We had no trouble finding seats in one of the seating groups along the windows and there were other open seats available. There were more people using the lounge this summer than last summer in early July, but at that time, the lounge was really empty.

Sounds like a smaller version of the DCL mixology sessions. From what you describe, $35/person seems reasonable.
