Sorry if it's been asked before, but...

I know it's a definite N-O on carry ons. :thumbsup2
Are shampoos etc. allowed in checked baggage? Just wondering if I have to buy them there or can I bring from home.
I looked on Southwest and it said not in carry ons, but then it said not onboard. It's late I'm tired... :surfweb: :teeth: Does that mean not at all?

Yes you can check them in...you just can't bring them with your carry-on luggage. :)

It also includes gel insoles (are you gellin'?). Don't leave them in your shoes.

I also found out that baby wipes are not allowed either. I called ahead to double check. I'm glad our flight is a little less than 3 hours, but my dd always picks the WORST time to make her 'messes' :rotfl2:

Thank you so much for the link!! :thumbsup2 It's a big help.
So glad I can pack them and not have to worry about shopping for that stuff when I get there.
No baby wipes? I always carry them, even when the kids aren't with me! :) You never know..
I'm suprised you can have corkscrews and scissors and what not, go figure. I thought they were still out too.

...like Magellin'... :rotfl:

Where did you hear that about baby wipes? I was just told on these boards that they were allowed and I was basically mocked for asking.

OK< Can I TOTALLY laugh here...YOu can BRING a CORKSCREW ONBOARD and SCISSORS, BUT not your lip gloss :rotfl2: OK< does ANYONE else see a Problem here? we fly in 1 month, so i will have to recheck the list before we go*
good grief lol

Just checked the TSA website.......nothing listed on there about baby wipes....so if it were me I would take them (print a copy of the list before you leave for the airport)

Baby wipes are a threat? :confused3 Stinky diapers on a plane with no wipes would be more of a danger IMO :faint:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: !!!

Yeah I'm with you!...
Allowed:
Corkscrews, Scissors, Umbrellas, Cigar Cutters, Screwdrivers, Nail Files, Tools, Wrenches, Pliers, Personal lubricants, Knitting/crochet needles,
NOT allowed:
Mascara, Pudding, Toothpaste, liquid lip glosses, gel/aerosol deodorants, creams, lotions, shampoos, ALL beverages

agnes!
PS - I didn't see anything on the TSA site about banning baby wipes or makeup remover/sunscreen towelettes.

I hope this is not true. I always carry them and clorox wipes to sanitize the tray and armrests. I guess I'll be carying them in a ziploc in case they make me toss em.

Baby wipes are fine so long as they are not liquid. Hand sanitizing wipes are fine - I have carried them on myself numerous times.

On a side note, BuzzandArielsmom, if you are referring to the reponse to your question on babywipes and Altoids, I'm sorry if you felt mocked but I didn't read the responses that way.

There are a LOT of posts lately and to make it easier for everyone, to clarify the rules are

- no liquids
- no gels

Please don't try and 'sneak' items through security as it creates delays for you and/or your fellow travellers.

For latest updates (and more accurate information than on a Disney website or any other social website) visit www.tsa.gov

Expect restrictions to be changed in the near future; UK and Canada have changed theirs recently

Will most airlines provide you with a bottle of water (if you ask) once you are on the plane? This really is a life saver for my family during takeoff and landing.

They weren't offering any bottled water, but they did provide cups of water. But you'll have to give it up before you take off.

Delta is the only airline I have flown which actually has bottles - most have water in cups

Do you think if I tell them why and ask nicely they will let me keep my cup of water (or maybe a can of gingerale)?

They may, but don't count on it. The FA's are there for your safety first, and that includes storing all lose items before takeoff. Also they are not giving out bottles and cans as part of the liquid ban, or are retrieving all of them before takeoff/landing.
