While we are at Disneyland I want us to try to see the Lion King the Broadway show in Los Angeles. I know how to get tickets but the difficulty is getting there. We could rent a car which is approx $200 or have a towncar service come and pick us up and take us back and it will cost approx $200 also (where is Tiffany when you need them).

Have any of you done this? How did you get there? Any suggestions? Right now I have a feeling we will have to skip that show, but since we are in the area I want to take advantage and see the show.

Whatever you need to do to see the show, DO IT. If you have to walk, WALK.

It's a stunning production that will leave you in tears of wonder and joy. (I still get goose bumps thinking about it, and I saw it on Broadway two years ago.)

I know but I do not want to pay $300 just to see the performance, if I can get some good suggestions from anyone then that would be appeciated and to try to convince my husband to say "OK". If only Disney had this included on one of their packages.

I don't know how many people are in your party, but I am sure that renting a car for one day should not cost $200. I think there are rental companies in the Disneyland area that would rent you a car for 24 hours.

I saw the Lion King in Los Angeles and it is fantastic! See it if you can.

I agree, do whatever you can to see this show, it is truly amazing and awe-inspiring.

You can get tickets through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.com - the show is playing at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Be forewarned, though that the "good" seats have been sold out for months. That said, ANY seat is worth having to see this magnificent show.

Minybear, there is actually is a Lion King package through Disney but it is only with group bookings, unfortunately. I do think you should be able to find a one-day car rental for less thatn $200; there are many car rental agencies near Disneyland. Good luck, I hope it works out for you! :)

Thanks everyone. I did not think about a 1 day rental. That is a good idea except my husband really doesn't want to drive in LA. Also when I was looking at car rentals it was for 5 days and it was approx $200 for that diraction.
