Linking Staterooms-Dining Help

We've had our cruise booked for quite some time and have early dining for my family & my niece who is in our stateroom with us. My sister decided she wanted to go as well and a cabin opened up this morning (our cruise has been sold out) so I hurried and grabbed it for her family. They have late dining. I'm going to get her on the waitlist for early dining but if I link our staterooms, will that move our dining to late?

That has happened to us, where our cruising buddies had early dinner, but by the time we booked, all we could get was 2nd seating. We were linked, got on the waitlist and were added to main seating before the cruise so we could sit with our neighbors. Since she is the one on the waitlist, she will hopefully get changed to main seating.

Perfect, thank you! I was worried that linking us may cause us to lose our early dining but it sounds like it won't.

We booked a week or two after our friends for Jan 30 and linked our staterooms. We both had late dining although it appears that they had asked for earlier dining when they booked and we didn't. I just saw a few days ago that we were moved along with them to the earlier slot. I would think that, since the first booked cabin was for early dining, a later addition to the table would be kept at the earlier slot. If not, make sure to request it online and/or go to wherever it is you make dining changes as soon as you board.

Whenever my family joins us later they always automatically get bumped up to our main dining. My TA always takes care of this stuff for us. The last time my daughter had to waitlist for main dining, but it came through the next day.

Thank you! They defaulted her to late dining but she wait listed main. I linked our reservations so hopefully she gets moved before we sail but if not I'll definitely try once onboard.

My TA booked ours but my sister's was booked direct through DCL (it was a sold out cruise and when my TA looked, they didn't have either of the staterooms categories she was looking for but I kept checking and one randomly popped up this morning). We have her on the waitlist and I linked our reservations so hopefully that helps her get moved to main. She has a 3 year old so late would not be fun for them.
