Linking points/what is allowed?

We are looking for 250 points for a future visit, and have noticed very few offers of 250 or more points. Is it possible to get 150 points from one source, then the remaining points from someone else? Or do we have to get all 250 from the same source? Thanks for the help.

That depends...

IF you are a DVC owner, yes, you could get points from multiple sources transferred into your account.

If you are NOT a DVC owner, it is still possible, but it would be very clumsy to orchestrate. You would have to rent one reservation from one owner, then rent another reservation from another owner. That would most likely mean you'd have to move from one villa to another -- not a big deal if you were planning to split your stay between two resorts, but inconvenient otherwise. You'd be much better off getting the entire ressie from one owner if you are renting.

It sounds like you are asking about renting a reservation from a DVC member?

You are not renting points at all- non-members have no use for DVC points since they may only be used by the member who controls them in an account. If you are unable to find a member able to reserve all of the dates for your stay, you may have one member reserve as many nights as they are able and then find another to reserve the remaining nights. The two reservations (as long as they are in the same rrom type) may easily be linked together so you will not have to move. Either (or both) member may have MS link them together.

There is also a good possibility that you can find a single member make the entire reservation for you. Just repsond to any of the offers to rent and see if they can assist. I know there are several members who can easily handle the needs for the reservation you mention.

Just post your resort, dates and villa type on the Rent/Trade Board and see if someone can help and also reply to offers to rent made by members.
