So this year will be my first trip using magicbands. I bought 10 day no expiration tickets and linked them to everyone in our party in MDE. My question is for our next trip will we use the same magicbands or do we link the tickets to different bands? Really confused about all this linking stuff. We always stay on site in don't know if that matters. Any help and/or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Everything remains linked to your MDE account. The MDE account is where all data is stored; your MagicBands provide the link to that data at the entrance tapstiles and FP lines.

Your next set of MagicBands will link to your MDE account and all MagicBands will work interchangeably.

The MagicBands don't store any of your info. Your group's info is kept in your MyDisneyExperience (MDE) file on a computer. The purpose of the MagicBand is to connect you, wherever you are on property, to your group's MDE file info in order to access info about your tickets, your room lock, your dining, etc. Your MagicBand works like a radio receiver.

Next stay at a DisneyWorld resort, you'll get new MagicBands. But the old ones would work, too. Last trip, we used old ones of a certain color and new ones of another color, during different days of our trip. But I used the old one with my name on it. I don't think using someone else's old MagicBand would work because the system would be looking for the specific person who was assigned a specific MagicBand.

How do you link old NE tickets to MDE app? There's no barcode on our ticket to scan and no number to enter in the app. I'm guessing we won't be able to link them and use FP+ until we arrive at the park??? thx!
