Linking MNSSHP tickets to Magic Bands?

I am trying to decide whether or not to link our MNSSHP tickets to our Magic Bands. The CM that I purchased the tickets from warned me to make sure that the tickets are pulling in the correct order if we do chose to link them on MDE. Last year some MNSSHP tickets were pulling as entrance into another park before the night of the party leaving them without party tickets by the night of the party. Are there any advantages to linking the tickets besides not needing the hard ticket for entrance? I do have FP ressies for the day of the party from 4-7 and I am unsure if we will use our tickets to enter earlier in the day or wait until we can be admitted with our party tickets if that matters any.

1. Are there any advantages to linking the tickets besides not needing the hard ticket for entrance?

2. I do have FP ressies for the day of the party from 4-7 and I am unsure if we will use our tickets to enter earlier in the day or wait until we can be admitted with our party tickets if that matters any.

1. Nope.
2. Won't matter which ticket (and/or MB) you use to enter MK that day to use those FP+.

I'd use a separate party ticket to enter MK, if you decide to only enter after 4PM for the party.

So....if we only have the special event ticket (i.e. MNSSHP or MVMCP), can we sign up for FP+? And if so, can we do that without linking the ticket to the magic band? Or is none of this possible?

TIA!

The ticket isn't linked to your Magic Band, it's linked to your MDE profile. And FP+ isn't available during the party, so you would only be able to book FP+ between 4 and 7. If you do want to do that, you would have to link your party ticket to your MDE profile.

If you link them you will get access to FP+ on the party day. We bought our MNSSHP online so they automatically linked. Should be fun to see how disney deals with multiple linked tickets this year since the system is so glitchy to begin with. popcorn::

Great info...thanks! Now if I link the hard tickets (MVMCP or MNSSHP) to our profile in MDE, won't the tickets then be linked to the magic bands? Guessing I will still need to bring the hard tickets with us?

1. Yes.

2. Yes, and when you get to the MK gates (4M or later,) do not scan the MB at all.
Just use the actual RFID Party ticket to enter the MK gates.

That way there is no chance that the ticket-scanner will accidentally
deduct the WRONG TICKET as you enter the party.

Yes, the MB will still access the FP+ attractions inside the park.

Just FYI regarding party tickets and FP+...

We recently reached the 60 day window for our October trip, and some members of our group had only MNSSHP tickets (no regular park tickets at all) on their profile. Not only did it let them make FP selections for the whole day of the party, but it would have let them make FP for any park on any day within the 60 day window. Not sure if it is a glitch, or if they aren't checking what type of ticket it is at all, before allowing FP to be made.

Not a useful glitch, since the FP won't do you any good if you can't get into the park, but at least it doesn't seem to be a problem at all booking FP for the 4-7 timeframe, even if you don't have other tickets linked.
