Linking memory maker

I just purchased memory maker online. I was told by a cm on the phone that when I purchase online, I will get a confirmation number in my email and I can use that rather than A) going to will call for it or B) paying for expedited shipping (my trip is fast approaching).

I did get the confirmation number, however when I go to link it I get a message that the number is either already linked or that I can't link it online...does not specify which is the case.

How do I tell if MM is already linked to my account? I'm not sure where to look..

If MM is linked, it should show up I MDE. If I remember correctly, I could not use the confirmation number to link MM. I needed to wait until I received the card in the mail and use the number on the card to link it. But that was right after MM came out, so maybe that's changed?

Thanks for the response...ugh the cm on the phone told me I did NOT need to wait for the card. I'm on the phone w/ tech support right now. Thanks again!

when its is linked-=-- when you open your reservations it will have a conformation number and a name that it is regisered to

I added MM yesterday as well and it did not show up on my MDE right away. You just have to select will call and it will give you a confirmation number. With that number you can link it to your MDE. It took me about ten minutes to get it to take the confirmation number after I added it but now it is all there. Good luck and I hope I was able to help. When I purchased MM for our trip the beginning of April I could not use the confirmation number to link. I picked up the card at guest services in Downtown Disney. I still had trouble linking it with MDE using my iPad. Ended up calling and the person linked it for me. She said there are sometimes problems if not using a PC. FWIW.

Check MDE on a computer not an iPad. My MM shows up on the desktop version but not in the app

How about when the MM is free, included with a package? How do I go about linking it -- it's not in MDE with my resort reservation, it just says:

Passholder Room Only w Mem Maker


But under the Memory Maker section at the bottom, it doesn't show that I have a MM.

I ordered MM online through MDE, and when I did, it was linked automatically and I still got the confirmation in my email. mine also shows up on a desktop and not a tablet

I also bought MM through MDE on a laptop and it automatically linked it. I can see it on my laptop, but doesn't show in the app on my phone.

Yikes lol, I didn't plan to pay in full until check-out when my card is charged (or maybe it's check-in, not sure...). Maybe it has the package payment rules? I don't know for sure, I'll have to go back and check. When I booked it, I was thinking it was room-only deal with a free MM added in.

You have to pay in full 45 days ahead of time. It's a package that included a percentage off the room and a free MM.

I'm so glad I peeked at this thread because I honestly didn't think of my reservation as a package, but it makes sense since the free MM was included. Thanks so much for the info!

I just called about this. She said it is Room Only so payment is not due until check-in. I was also told that I do not get a MM card and it does not show up on MDE like when you buy the MM separately, but since it is in my reservation, it is on the MagicBand. I am skeptical about that but hopefully it will work. I will call back tomorrow and see if I get a different answer.

Thanks for the info. I went back to my reservation and noted that I had to pay a 1-night's deposit, which would mean a room-only reservation (unless things have changed....), so I was really confused about this possibly being a package. I will also call -- in fact, we are staying CL so I think I'll call IPO and ask about this. I'll also post back with what I hear.
