Linking guests on MDE

We are going in a May as annual pas holders. Tickets linked no problem and we can make fastpass+ selections. We are meeting relatives who live in Florida. They will buy their tickets at the gate. Does this mean we cannot make fastpass+ selections for our group? If anyone knows thanks for the info.

Until their tickets are linked you cannot make FP+ selections for them. Once they do have their tickets linked and they're linked to your MDE account you'll be able to copy them to your FP+ reservations.

One of the things I will miss is meeting up with people and getting fast passes to ride together. We won't be able to do this any longer. It seems like a backwards way to run a family theme park, making it difficult to do things together. What are they thinking.

Once your friends' passes are linked in MDE, there is a function for "copying" your FP+ reservations to their passes. Of course, this will depend on availability and they could end up with FP+ times that overlap yours. Or you might need to reschedule your own FP+ to another time completely in order to be able to ride together.

It certainly complicates things a lot but there is flexibility built into the system to allow it. Look at it this way, with legacy FP, if you got to the parks first, you would not have been able to pull FPs for your friends until they met up with you. The only thing that has changed is that you (and a growing number of advance planners) are "arriving" at the FP+ selection process days before your friends instead of competing with each other at the park for those FP+ slots.
