Has anyone had success with linking a Member CASH night (booked through MS not CRO) with a points stay?

Missing 1 night in the middle of 6 for July. We are waitlisted but in the event it didn't come through would pay cash if we didn't have to move.

Unless of course someone would like to cancel their BLT-1BR-LV for Sun 7/13 for us ;)

I have successfully linked member cash and points. I once did 2 nights cash for the weekend and then 5 nights points. It was treated as a seemless 7 night reservation. This assumes the cash night is exactly the same as the points nights (example - lockoff vs dedicated room).

CRO cash is different. I once did an AP rate for the last night and had to checkout and check back in. We kept the same room.

Yes, I have successfully linked a cash only (member discount) room with a points reservation. MS can do this for you.

Thanks for asking this question, I was wondering the same thing. However, I have a different problem, there are no DVC cash rooms (even without a discount) available for the first night of my trip in November. I plan on checking back every so often to see if one opens up, and I'm on the waitlist, but I doubt that will come through since I can't even get a DVC cash reservation for the night.

I went ahead and booked the one night through the regular disneyworld.com website since I could book the same room type (Kidani dedicated 2BR savannah view). It doesn't sound like I can link them where I wouldn't need to check out and check back in, but I would love to try to keep the same room and not have to switch after one day. I'm sure they won't guarantee that I won't need to switch rooms, but I would like to try to link the reservations somehow. Is it better to call MS to see if they can put something in the notes, or do I call CRO since my first night is booked through them?
