Linking Airmile Purchased Tickets to WDW KTTW

We are looking at purchasing our WDW tickets through Airmiles for our trip in August as the flight redemption options are crazy for peak season. However, we are staying at OKW through DVC, and will be purchasing a dining plan. DH is a man of convenience and a minimalist therefore..

Can we have the tickets linked to our KTTW?
If so should we do this after our first use and upgrades?

We buy passes with our Airmiles and we are DVC members. We linked them when we checked in to our hotel. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

We didn't buy park hoppers from AM and we didn't upgrade.
We used to buy park hoppers but found we weren't hopping and just doing one park in one day.

We have done so every time.

Last trip i upgraded to a premium annual pass from a 7 day base AM ticket. (after using it once so it bridged correctly). Adding Park hoppers is not a true upgrade so no need to use it once before adding. The cost to add park hopper doesn't matter how many days-its a flat rate.
