Linked reservation and ticket question

I was originally booked for POR 12/14 - 12/21. When FD came out, we switched to CBR for a room only for 12/14 and FD for 12/15 - 12/21. Our reservations are linked but our tickets are attached to the FD ressie. Does anyone know if we will be able to get our tickets activated on 12/14 or will we have to wait until 12/15? Also, how would that work with our tickets as we hope to get to MK early on the 15th?

While I'm sure this will all work out, and FD is saving us a lot of money, I'm a little nervous about having to change rooms and having our tickets work out.

Any thoughts or advice on this? Last time I went to WDW was 10 years ago and I feel like it's a "whole new world" and it is

You can use your tickets up to 3 days early. You'll have to go to a Guest Services location outside each park or at Disney Springs to do this.

Also if both of your reservations are in the same room type you may not have to change rooms and you'll be able to confirm at the desk that you have the same room as early as 6am on your second reservation.

We do have the same room type - king bed. I'm really hoping not to have to move!
