Link MDE accounts,tickets, etc- I'm so confused

I have a room-only reservation in my name, with DD30 on the reservation also. If I link her account to mine, will she be able to do dining reservations, or do I have to handle it? Also, her magic band is in her account; does she need to link it somehow to my account (due to me being the primary on the reservation) or will it automatically work? She is arriving approximately 13 hours before I am (my flight was rearranged argh!) but have been assured that if she does online check-in, she will be able to open the door to the room with her phone. Can I pay the balance due on the room in advance (my reservation was made thru a travel agent) so hopefully there won't be issues?

Park tickets- These will be purchased separately as we both have individual funds on reserve with Disney (from a trip canceled due to covid). Can they simply be linked to the magic bands without having to be linked to an actual room reservation? Or can she link her ticket thru her account and I can directly link mine thru my account? I don't believe one has to have a room reservation to make dining reservations or buy park tickets- correct? Do the park tickets have to be linked to any MDE account, or can you just buy them and get a hard copy ticket (or link thru MDE independent of a reservation)? I'm not really clear on how tickets, magic bands, and MDE accounts all work.

OR... do we even need to link accounts? She's on my reservation. If she can do her own dining reservations and link her own tickets to her own magic band, does she need to be on my MDE account? What would be the benefit of linking the accounts?

First you need to become linked through friends and family on the app. Under My Profile in the APP you can add her to your Friends and Family list- usually by email. Once you do that and link your hotel reservation, it should find her as well (it might automatically find her) she can also link the hotel reservation number in her account.

Park tickets are linked to your MDE account, not hotel reservation. Yes you both can link your own tickets. While you don't need a reservation to make dining ADR, if you want the 60 day+ advantage you must be linked to a hotel reservation in your account. Either of you can make dining ADR and if you are linked in Friends and Family you can add each other. The only thing you can't do is cancel each other's reservation- so If you are the lead on the reservation, she can't cancel.

The biggest advantage to linking accounts is for Genie+ and Virtual Q. If you want to ride together you can make your party and then pick rides.

Theme park reservations are no longer necessary for dated tickets. But no, a reservation will not void a ticket if you never enter a park.
