How bad are they? We were at DHS for Spring Break and the lines were horrendous. We'll be at DCA in July and are hoping to ride it there.

July lines will be similar to Spring Break, July is very peak season. Just wait in the line, it's well worth it!! We wait, well, unless it's over 40 min. but we are there pretty regularly so we know there's always next time.

I think we will wait if the lines are 30-40. At DHS two weeks ago the lines were 120 minutes!!:scared1: So, there are no fast passes for TSM?

We were there over Presidents Day weekend and it wasn't bad. We went on it 3 times I think. LOVED IT!! Seriously could be my favorite ride:thumbsup2 I think once it was 45 minutes, the rest of the time was 30.

We went on it a week ago, today (so last Thursday). We were at DCA for rope drop (went in the entrance through the GC). We walked straight to it (with 400 of our closest Disney friends!) and we probably waited in line for about 30 mins. When we got off the ride, the wait time was 45 mins.

Sadly, we had to leave as it was our travel home day so we only went on that one time. It was fun though! I wished the lines were shorter so we could have rode again.

At the califronia adventure, there is a single rider line, and it moves pretty quickly. dh and I used that twice over spring break.

Nope, no FP but yup, SR line is good. But, if you do the SR line you can't help each other get a higher score so we usually wait in line. AND the SR line is not always open.

We were there over President's Day weekend too, we rode it a few times and didn't have to wait more than 45 min. There were longer waits just not for us, I saw waits of over an hour once or twice while we were there then. :)

If you get there right when they open it--single rider line rocks! I went on it probably 6 times-- I loved this ride. It's not always open though, I remember one day I went straight to Toy Story pretty early and the single rider line was not open. I was so bummed I didn't even pay attention to the plaid with some people in the handicap line. My husband said he saw John Cusak that day so it was probably him lol. I just went straight over to screamin and rode it several times in a row in the single rider line- walked on pretty much both times. I kept checking back to see if the line was open. Finally later in the afternoon I caught it as soon as they opened it :goodvibes

When we were there in early February, the wait was 20-30 minutes. During spring break, it was 30-45 minutes. I was surprised that there wasn't a bigger variation in the wait times.

I didn't have as much luck in the single rider line. The one time I used it, the main line was 40 minutes and the single rider line took about 35 minutes. I would have expected it to be much quicker. It sounds like it usually is.

The main line looks long but it moves very quickly. They have a very streamlined loading and unloading process. Kudos to the imagineer who designed it.

I have used SR many times, but let me say it is a huge gamble. I have had maybe 50/50 luck with it. Most of the time I was alone so it was a none issue but a few times I did have people with me and after watching the people we would have been just in front of or just behind get on before we did was a huge bummer.

The SR line only works when you have lots of odd numbered groups who are ok with riding with a SR. A group can refuse to take on a SR. If you get a day with all families of even numbers you might be waiting a VERY long time.

Well, we're going to be at the parks for ONE day. So, our two biggest must-dos are TSM for my son and Indiana Jones for my husband and I. We're driving from San Diego. so, we'll try to get there as close to rope drop as possible. Here's my follow up question... Should we FP Indiana Jones and then walk over to TSM?

I would get a FP for Indiana first. If DCA opens later than DL you will probably have time for a few other rides before going over. Indiana Jones ride FPs tend to go quickly. Also, that ride has problems and sometimes isn't open.

We went when TSMM was first open and never saw the line shorter than 90 min. We went on Jan 2, same thing. If the line was only 40 min, I'd think that was great! I hope we get lucky this summer, but not counting on it. I never felt like the line went fast. It is so long and winds around and around through that exta room. It really did seem like a long time to me. On top of that, last summer it was across the path way and CMs had to stop "traffic" to let the line cross. Over the holidays, the line went down along the side of the path instead. But still- totally fun ride! A favorite! :thumbsup2

I know people say that they ask the families if they are OK having a SR with them but when I've done SR line we have NEVER had them ask the family that had odd numbers. They just tell us where to go and give us glasses. And we've had CMs put us on cars with parties of 2 when we are in the SR line as well. But yes, there were a couple times we did it and the people we would have been behind were very close to getting on so it's not always fool proof. :)

I would get your Indy APs, do some rides in DL and then head over to DCA to hit the TSMM line. :)

Lines over MLK and Presidents weekend were about 30-40mins.

How does Toy Story compare with Buzz over at DL? I'm taking two 11yr old girls next week. One of them went on Buzz and thought it was rather boring, had trouble hitting targets and just didn't enjoy it much. So she had no interest in Toy Story thinking its a similar ride. Is it?

It's much more fun than Buzz is!!!! There isn't a gun your shooting, it's a string you're pulling and the targets are a lot bigger and easier to hit. You should take them, my girls love TSMM and they are 9 and 12. :)

TSM is much more fun than Buzz, IMO. My son is 10, loves all rollercoasters and thrill rides, but really does like TSM too. It's like a ride inside a video game. Pretty cool, I must say.

Buzz uses a laser beam that makes is hard to see your target. Toy Story Mania has 3D effects and I found the bright colours and room with big target to hit more fun. Some people ride just for the top score but a child can have fun. I rather spend all day on Toy Story Mania than on Buzz except it is fun to spin the cars on Buzz.:woohoo:

Sensory note: Buzz is loud noises like Zurg roaring and tiny lasers to hit targets that are fewer than Toy Story. Buzz is about destroying Zurg while Toy Story is happy fun where you shoot as cute targets. Even if you are not shooting it is so cute.

We rode it twice last week and both times it was about 60 minute wait.
