Lines for the new Soarin'

I'm just wondering now that there are 3 theaters for Soarin' if it has had much for an impact on the lines and the wait times. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

Yes, it has had a significant impact. You can walk on with a minimal wait during the 30-45 minutes of park opening. Then during the day, the standby line will typically stay at or under 60 minutes. Right before park closing, it again becomes a walk on, with zero wait.

We went the weekend after Labor Day. At about 3pm we walked over to Soarin' and waited maybe 10 minutes. Posted time was 25.

That is great to know! What about the ride itself? I'd like to get thoughts as to whether Soarin' is as good as it previously was when it was Soarin' over California?

Do a search on this board.
LOTS of discussion on that subject when the new film debuted.

Yes, lots of discussion was had about it when it first opened, so search for threads about Soarin in late June, early July. But in summary, there were people on both sides. Some (myself included) loved it. Some felt there was too much CGI in it and that it wasn't as good as the old one. I really enjoyed it. One note, unless you're sitting in the dead middle of the screen, there is some visual distortion at times (Eiffel Tower for example) due to curvature of the screen.

We were there last week with pretty low crowds mind you, but we didn't have any fast passes for Soarin' and never had to wait more than 30 minutes to ride during the day. We rode three times.

Yes, I've been monitoring the lines app, and the standby waits at Soarin' seem to be much shorter now. The same thing appears to have happened with Toy Story Mania since the third track opened.

Soarin' has traditionally been our RD priority - has it dropped so much that people would now do Test Track at RD instead, then Soarin'? (FP+ is gone thanks to Frozen Ever After)

Wednesday was a bad day apparently. We waited 78 minutes. Walked out of the Land just as the fireworks finished up. The posted standby wait when we got in line was 40 minutes.

In my experience the lines were much more manageable with the third theater. If you go around park open and walk on I would suggest waiting an extra round to sit in the first row of section B, the visuals are much better in the middle!

Lines can sometimes get up to an hour. However, in the morning and the late afternoon/evening, I have seen the wait times being about 35 minutes whenever I have been at Walt Disney World. If one theater stops working, the line will get up to 90 minutes or longer like I saw one time.

So happy to hear this.

I guess the Frozen ride is the new Soarin in terms of wait times.

I loved new soaring ride but I loved old one too. We went at rope drop and had no problem . Did fp for. test track so this worked for us. On side note wish the last image you seen on ride was new towers in NYC or Statue of Liberty.

Earth-shattering, mind-blowing difference in wait times throughout the day. Still a great ride. I'm in the "too many stagey CGI transitions" camp. But awesome to hear people applaud at Epcot for it. That never really used to happen when Disneyland was the ending scene.
