Line waits

What will the line waits be feb.5-6. First day of mardi gras does that change the crowds during the day.

I suspect that Saturday will be fairly busy during the day but not packed. I would guess the popular rides may have 30 minutes wait during the day even though this week they have been walk ons. By later in the evening the park will be very crowded. Sunday shouldn't be busy though.

If you are there at park opening Saturday morning, Mummy will be a walk on. As it gets closer to Mardi Gras, the wait will be much longer.

except peak times, we can usually ride ROTM numerous times the first hour after park opening. it generally doesn't creep up to a 10 or 15 minute wait until 10:00. by 11:00 it will jump up.

When you mean will get crowded, how crowded will it be.

Because we usually leave the park at 4 or 5 will it be packed like 60 minutes waits or like 30.

I thought we answered already. The Saturday of Mardi Gras will not be crowded at all in the morning. The lines by late afternoon around 4:00-5:00 will be very long. Expect 30-45 minute waits for MIB by 4:00.

The Sunday after Mardi Gras will not be busy at all. You will be able to walk on most rides on Sunday.

Edited to add: The reason the hotels are full is because they are having a 5 K run on Sunday morning through the parks before the park opens.

even in off-season weekends, MIB can easily pull down a 45 minute wait. it's one of the farthest points in the park from the entrance. in the off-season, the food stands don't open until 11:00 around MIB. there's a formula, but no exact science to the wait times. just like disney, the crowds choke up in different areas at different times.
