We often take for granted the men and woman who protect us while we enjoy our vacations at WDW
.
Deputy Pine was killed in Windermere an affluent gated community locatd very close to WDW.
The couple responsible are also believed to have committed numeous car break ins in the vicinity of WDW.

I do not know if the funeral will impact WDW traffic.

Why not take a moment to thank these men and woman for their service next time you see one as you enter a park.

ORLANDO, Fla. —The funeral for Orange County Sheriff's Office Deputy Scott Pine, who was shot and killed early Tuesday, will be held Saturday at First Baptist Church of Orlando.

I have seen posts talking about officer's doing speed enforcement on the roads of WDW get alot of responses.

I just thought that for the time we are at DVC these guys are our local cops and we should not take them for granted.
I also wanted to use this terrible incident to remind people that nowhere is complelety immune from danger.

The people that did this were breaking into cars in a nice safe town adjecent to WDW. They could have just as easily been in a hotel or WDW park parking lot.
These guys look for places where people are known to leave valuables in cars.

Hard to believe someone breaking into a car would lead to the death of a Police Officer .
