I recently found out some children can have reactions to some of the inks on these temp tattoos. (I found out the hard way LOL) I also read a thread were some people have "moral" issues with temp tattoos.

What is MG?

No, I've seen multiple people post on this thread saying if you're not bringing a todler back from the bathroom, you're not getting through their blockade. People are getting carried away with this stuff.

Ok, so how exactly does that mean people "ARE ATTACKING" people in this thread for for legit reasons? My post was in response to a specific poster about her commenting about needing to wear signs because of a medical issue that makes it hard for her to stand for long periods of time in the lines. I didn't say people weren't being specific about their personal ways of dealing with what they feel is a threat to the line for them.

You can't get offended by threads about these types of issues. The DIS is to large of a community with to many types of people. We don't all think the same. "Carried away" in these thread could be compared to "carried away" to people abusing the line cutting thing.

I can totally understand the whole idea of not wanting large groups standing in line for food.....BUT that doesn't mean you have to plop down at a table while you are waiting. My hubby and kids have waited many times while I stood in line and ordered food, but never once did they take a table until I had the food. My DH would entertain them outside or take them to wash hands before eating. Once I had the food, then we would find a table. There were alot of tables that had just grown-ups sitting at them waiting for the rest of their group, so it is not always parents with small children.
It just really gets to me because we have had SO many times that we then can't find a seat and have walked around until our food is basically cold OR eaten while standing up! As I said before, we ate standing at a trash can this past trip. I know there were at least 2 tables being saved very near us that were still without food even when we were done and leaving! We could have sat and ate our food and been gone before their food arrived. It's just not right. I just feel it is a much ruder act to do this than to jump the line to meet up with your group.

I totally agree and have had the same experience several times. Lots of people without food taking up tables while we search and search. I even had a man swoop in and take a table that I was heading for. Since I had a tray of food and sodas he was able to move quicker and grab it.

Just think of us solo's, who go through this every time, because we have no one to save us a table, or even a seat. You learn to eat at different times so you have a chance to sit down, or take the food to a bench somewhere and eat.

My biggest line pet peeve is when a child, usually say 9-12 years old, runs way ahead of their family/group, and jumps just ahead of you as you enter the line. Several other people get in line behind you, and then the family/group of this running child tries to get past everyone to catch up to the "runner". Now, I have no problem with kids getting excited and running for their favorite ride, but I think they should wait when they get there until the rest of the group catches up before getting in line. It never seems to be just two or three people either - it's always 10 or more, which depending on the ride, can make a noticeable difference in your wait time.

Sorry, we just finished packing up the car last night. We pull out today. I meant to put DHS. We've only been to WDW once, and then it was MGM.

No way will I touch someone else's child without permission. I'd freak if someone touched mine. I plan on handing them to the parent to put on their own child. We will have our misters, and can let them use that water right then and there if they wish. Along with a towel to wrap the hand so no water spills on the floor causing a hazard. Or they can just wait until later, but now have something to talk about to take their minds off the long lines.

I may be a bit high on pixie dust, but we have never really had a problem with line-cutters. There have been some people who get in front of us in a line or rejoin the line and pass us by. I don't even really get upset about it. I couldn't say for sure, but I generally assume they have a reason for going ahead (rejoining after a visit to the washroom) or it was an unintentional shift in the line. I guess I give people the benefit of the doubt and go on having a great time on my vacation.

We've surprisingly never noticed this problem while at Disney. Either I'm picking the right times to go, or not paying enough attention to what's going on. I see this all the time down at Six Flags Over Georgia. It's gotten pretty bad, and you know the teens doing the line jumping are not heading to "meet up" with anyone. They just assume the rest of us waiting are a bunch of suckers.

I don't think anyone in here is attacking anyone for legit reasons. I think most people have made it pretty clear that the issue is rude people cutting for no reason other then to get past others waiting in line because they don't want to wait.

I did not mean to imply that I thought that, just sort of adding to the fact that some times it may look like a cut in line, when there is no obvious medical reason, of course no one could see how bad my back hurts, so I always feel guilty about not standing in the line. Sometimes I just feel like I should be wearing a sign with an arrow pointing to my back and saying defective equipment here.

We were walking up the path to the arena, and this one group of people kept cutting to the outside of the pack and passing people. While I don't have a problem with that, when they cut back into line, they would stop dead, and wait for the rest of their group, blocking everyone behind them.
When we were coming out, my 12 year old niece was holding her grandmothers hand so they wouldn't get seperated, and this woman kept trying to push between them.
She told my niece that manners would be nice, and my niece told her "you're right, why don't you try using some insted of trying to cut between a child and an adult who are obviously together."

That is great!! I hate it when people break up families (especially those with children) by cutting in between them...I have a 3 year old and it amazes me how often full-grown adults charge in between me and him in a crowd....it sometimes tends to get scary, I am so afraid he is going to get lost.
