I understand the frustration of not being able to find a table when you already have your food in your hands trying not to bump anyone and spill the whole tray. But I don't think that finding a table for your group ahead of time is rude. :confused3
If you see extra spaces at our table, feel free to join us. I won't say you can't sit there. :thumbsup2

I agree, it is the "Disney" thing to do:grouphug:

Heck, at Chicago Midway airport people used to just plop down at someone else's table in the food court without asking as long as there was room! Thus it wouldn't phase me at all if someone wanted to join DH and I at a WDW food court table (unless they were an open mouth chewer or a line jumping, pool-hopping, refillable mug reuser).

We go with 3 familys.
One set of adults watches the table while everyone else gets their food.
Our anniverary is the 21st.
The year we had the problem, we were there onour anniversary.

Last year, as a treat to my wife, I secretly ordered flowers to be delivered to the room the afternoon we arrived.
When we got back from the park, there they were, along with two anniversary pins.
We also did the carraige ride.

Besides, our little one is 20 and doesn't care to hang around with the rents anymore, so he doesn't even go with us now.

I've always wanted to handle the problem this way...

Butter: Excuse me, I'd like to join my group ahead of you.

Me: NP, I'd be glad to help you out. What's your name?

Butter: Umm, John?

Me, yelling: Hey John's friends!!! He's waiting back here for you to come join him!

:rotfl: I'm going to try that one when I go in October!! I can't stand being cut by people...especially full grown adults! The worst is when they don't even acknowledge you!! :headache:

We had an 11ish boy push iinto line in front of us to catch up with his group. When he got up to the front (after pushing through everyone) he told the cm he was alone for riding. This was on Star Tours and the wait was only about 10 minutes so there was absolutely no reason for him to do this but it was very frusterating as he then ended up on the ride with most of us he had pushed past and spends the entire ride making rude comments. Part of me wanted to follow him back to his family and let the parents know how poorly there child was acting as they let him roam alone.

Talk to his parents? :scared1: Remember the apple doesn't fall fall from the tree! ;)

I also don't have a problem with one person ordering food while the rest wait at a table. I find this preferable to 5 extra people in the food ordering line.

I totally agree. What I always try to do if it's busy is, if I'm just about finished, I'll keep an eye out for anyone who is looking for a table, and if they get close enough, I'll let them know that I'm just about finished and they can use my table. (I always go solo, so there's always room for at least part of a group to sit there until I'm done.)

Even better...the 21st is my birthday!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY a few weeks early:hug: We are going with another couple this year (and leaving the kids with family:woohoo: )...we are going to be keeping this secret for a looong time! :rotfl2:

My funniest line cutting incident on our last trip happened in line for EMH bracelets. I was standing in line minding my own business and counting my lucky stars that only one person was in front of us when 8 people appeared out of nowhere and formed their own line. Being me, of course I had to make a comment about how Oops, I thought we were in line and then readjusted my family. The funny part was the woman turns around and starts explaining how they weren't cutting the line  they were just trying to stay with the rest of the family. I put this really dumb look on my face and say"Huh?" and make her repeat her idiotic statement 3 times (hoping she would realize at some point how stupid she sounded). She finally gave up:cheer2: and left me in peace. Line break if you must but don't make yourself look stupid by explaining that you aren't. It just frustrates us pepole who know better;)

We were just at a local water park 2 weeks ago..2 older ladies in line for the lazy river, and 2 other ladies wanted to join up with thier party, now, i was the last 2 people in line.. so letting 2 ladies in front wasnt a big deal, untill 6 of them passed me to join that group..

....ohhhhh, the 'Sneak-and-Pass' tactic, ehhhhh??? ;)

I think that only works if he is only trying to line cut and not really trying to meet up with someone else. If you're doing it in the case that he is meeting up with other people that's not very nice, what if he had to use the restroom or go throw something away or get some first aid?

I have come to the conclusion that some people will cut the lines because they are rude and some will try to get back with their families for what *I* think are legit reasons to have left the line and that the rude people have ruined it for the legit people. Since there is really no way for me to figure out who is who, I'll let you pass me. If you are holding a toddler or child I'll smile at you and if you are not, I'll smile at you too. I'm gonna be at Walt Disney World! I'm gonna smile at everyone. PS-I'll be the mom sticking that temporary tattoo on everyone's hand to make standing in line more pleasant.

See you all when I get back. :hippie:

When we were at Disney I honestly dont think anyone cut line. Did some that were behind me for some rides. like soarin end up in front of me.. yep. Did I let the family who was three ahead of me and had to leave the line for her son to go to the restroom get back infront of me... yep. Would I have expected others to do the same for me? Probably not, but if someone offered to let me back in I would.

Question-You put temp tattoos on everyone? You mean just your kids right?

I have a very bad back, many times my family stands in line and I find someplace to sit as standing is the worst pain of all. Then when they get close to the line I catch up to them, or tell the CM I am waiting for them to get to the front and would like to join them. I only found out about the medical card this past week. I will get one and use it from now on.

Also due to my back, usually I find a table and hubby gets our food and joins me at the table.

I certainly hope we don't have to stop that, I have a legitimate medical problem, that is never going to go away. Yikes, I feel like I have to wear a sign telling everyone my medical problem so they don't think I am being rude.

Nope. Any one who wants one can have one.
AK will have froggies.
EP will have smilie hearts.
MK will have pirates.
MG will have military.
Look for my alien green tag.

I don't think anyone in here is attacking anyone for legit reasons. I think most people have made it pretty clear that the issue is rude people cutting for no reason other then to get past others waiting in line because they don't want to wait.

No, I've seen multiple people post on this thread saying if you're not bringing a todler back from the bathroom, you're not getting through their blockade. People are getting carried away with this stuff.
