Line cutters

lol if my husband and son stop to go bathroom.. I'll wait for them before joining the line.
Way I see it if I have the privilege of standing in line. I wanna share that experience!!
Lol

A minor variance, but I'm kinda ticked off if someone "reserves" a large group's place in line. I mean, I appear to be next in a queue, but suddenly this militia show up and inserts themselves in the line in front of me, taking ages to file their request. GET IN LINE AND WAIT WITH THE REST OF US! Don't mince off to buy a frogurt!

Witnessed some pretty blatant line cutting in the single rider line at Rip Ride Rocket Universal HHN tonight. A few people called the line cutters out on it and there was a long argument over it (not like anyone had anything else to do in a single rider line that is moving very slowly on a busy night). Eventually a supervisor came but I think they all got away with it. It was teenagers saying that they got separated from their group - doesn’t make sense in a single rider line where there is no group. I think there were 4 further back that tried to join the 5 further up front. We had all been in the line at least 20 minutes so I don’t think their argument of getting separated really made sense. It looked llike a couple of them made it and the others got held back by some people who had enough - one of them started to get pushy with someone who had her arms on the rail so there was no way to walk around her.

I would love to know what happened to these people so I’ve been googling how it is handled but looks like they don’t really do anything about it. That’s really frustrating. I know people say not to bother saying anything and I’m kinda on board with the let it go and enjoy yourself attitude but I also feel like there’s not much point having rules if they’re not enforced.

ETA. I don’t really count a parent taking a young child out of line and then bringing them back in as line cutting. Everyone needs to be understanding of little kids being unpredictable at times.

Having visited with little ones - typically one parent joins the line with the rest of the kids while the other parent heads off to the restroom and may want to join their family. That way they avoid inconveniencing people twice, by going out of the line, then back joining their family. I know, I know, "Just have the whole family join the line when they're done!" Whatever. In general, I find this to be such a rare experience and with so little impact on my actual wait to get on the ride (or wherever) that I choose not to worry about it.

See, this is what I have a problem with. We started taking our kids to Disney since my oldest was 2 years old and the younger two were infants. We have done many trips with toddlers, double strollers, diaper bags, diaper changes and the like. It had never occurred to us to have one of us go ahead and get in the line while the other had toilet/diaper duty. We got in the line as a family. If someone need to use the toilet, or one of the babies needed a diaper change, we all used the bathroom. Separating while one heads to the line and the other uses a bathroom and catches up is wrong. It's another thing if you have a little one that has to gooooo while in line. Someone needs to go out with them. That's understandable, but the prior example is line saving IMO.

When you say it is a rare experience, it may have been years ago, but I think it is rampant today. It blows my mind the boldness of big groups that just say "excuse me, pardon me, can I just get by?" As they work their way to the front, and people just move over.

Getting in line and then wanting to catch up after the little has gone is, in fact, cutting the line, and isn't the same thing at all. Typically, parents don't have one group join the line and another go to the bathroom then cut the rest of the line, they all join the line together.
I ran into this at SSE on my last trip. There was a group of about two dozen people traveling together. Three had gotten in line (we were in the standby line) and the rest had gone to the rest room and were trying to catch up to the others by going over/under the empty part of the queue. They got a real talking to from the CM and were made to go to the end of the line, which made my day I have to admit. The three in front of me wouldn’t go back to join the rest of their group and just kept complaining about the CM. There weren’t any little kids in the group either. It was all teens and adults. They should have waited and joined the line together.
