I think that you said what I have been feeling. I can't imagine how frustrating losing the 64 and gaining back 40 would be. I know that I had gotten 25 off and put back over 10. That has done a number on me! Don't give up though! I think that you are SO right about reevaluating and starting fresh. I too feel that when my weight was a little higher I was bordering on the diabetic thing too. It is scary.
The good thing is that you know what caloric intake will allow you to loose AND you are VERY dedicated to your exercise. You are Awesome on that stair machine!! :cheer2: I know that my mom (who has diabetes) has said that when she exercises for 30 minutes her numbers are much better the next day. I think if you stick with your goal of 30 or more a day not only will you feel better, but the weight will come off too!! :yay:

I think having the treadmill will be great also! It will be nice for you to be able to spice things up. You can alternate so that you don't get bored! Also your muscles will benefit from the change in exercise!

The only suggestion I have for you on the food side is to maybe try to get more fruit. I don't see any in your last few posts. I find it hard to get in my fruits and veggies, but they will help give us the nutrients that we need and are usually low cal and filling!

Another good day for me. Thanks Amber for you support! I know I dont have fruit. I was actually talking to someone at work about it. I dont like fruit. I really dont. There is no fruit that I really enjoy, except the occasional banana , and thats not really that good for you either. They just seem icky sweet to me. :confused3 I could maybe try some fruit juices, but still, too sweet to me. I have been doing much better on veggies than I thought tho. According to my meal charts I am supposed to get 2 1/2 cups of veggies a day. I'm really bad about cooking when I work esp, so I have been cooking up veggies and putting in these little tupperware bowls that I can just grab and take to work with me. I always take 2, one green beans and one mixed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. Usually I also have a salad, but this week I ran out of lettuce. Well, I thought those little tupperwares were 1/2 cup, so I was getting 1 cup per day, plus salad. But I had Kev read the bottom toay and they are 1.1 cup each! So I am getting 2.2 cups, plus usually salad every day. :goodvibes

I just thought maybe blueberries. I should try those.

Anyway, todays food was good B was lean cuisine pocket L was a nutisystem pizza, that I added some ham lunchmeat to. S was green beans. D was buffalo wings and mixed veggies. S was hard boiled egg. And of course a fudgsicle. Anyway 955 cals today.

Exercise was 45 mins stairmachine in the morning, 10 mins weightlifting, and 20 mins starmachine tonight. Thats 75 mins, 632 cals burned.:banana:

I just have to tell you what my son said to me today. It cracked me up. He is planning Valentines Day for his girlfriend. He doesnt have much money so he thought he would like to cook her dinner. Sweet huh? Anyway, he called me at work and told me and said "Valentines Day is on a wednesday, mom, do you think you could clean the house?":rotfl2:

I didnt get to exercise because I was picking up the treadmill. That took about 2 hours and we still have to take it into the basement. I hope it works. I tried it out just in the foyer and it makes a noise. It works tho, but it makes a noise. :confused3

Food today was 1057 cals. B- lean cuisine pocket . L- slimfast bar. S- green beans D- buffalo wings and mixed veggies S- hard boiled egg and fudgesicle.

Wow, another good day. I had a quick turn because of the whole treadmill thing, but I have made up for it today.

Food

B- smartones english muffen sandwich
s- green beans
l- buffalo wings and mixed veggies
s-sugar free pudding
s- handfull of pretzels someone had at work
d-nutrisystem pizza with a slice of ham lunchmeat added
gonna have a fudsicle before bed and a 1/2 cup of cereal

thats 1096 cals...a little over because of the pretzels:confused3 not bad tho

Exercise- I came home and moved the treadmill down in the basement. Kev was making fun of me cuz I was freaking out a little because I was afraid we were gonna drop it. I did 30 mins, and then I made kev do 30 mins, then I did 30 more. So I got 60 mins and it said I burned a little over 500 cals.:thumbsup2 Not bad. I am gonna watch a little tv tonite and get on the stairmachine for a few more minutes, maybe 15 or 20 so I'm not going to log the exercise quite yet. The treadmill worked fine, it squeaked a little and is kinda noisy, but it worked fine. It takes your pulse too so I was checking that. Its takes a while for mine to go up much, same as always, but it was up in the high 120s after 20 mins or so. I will work on that. Its always that way tho.

Also great job on the treadmill!! You're gonna kick butt in February!! And yes, I think the Mileage Challenge is a great idea!! I'm in!!

its friday! YAY! I made it thru an entire week woohoo!

I had a pretty good day, no problems.

Food today...kinda backwards, but here it is

B- hard boiled egg
S- sugar free pudding
L= wings
S- lean cuisine breakfast pocket
D- chicken pasta parmesan and mixed veggies
fudgesicle
S- 1/2 cup cereal

1033 cals...I ran out of veggies, so I need to go to the store tomorrow!

Exercise...I did just over 3 miles in 60 mins on the tread mill. It seems like I should have done better but it was a good workout. I ran a little bit, but not much. I got my heart rate up to the 140s for the second 30 mins. It said 533 cals burned. It has "fat cals" on it too..I dont remeber exactly what that said but it was around 1/3 of the total cals. Not sure what that means.

I am going to do the exercise challenge for feb, even if I forget to log it on the thread. Its for me anyway. I'll try 1000 mins again....if at first you dont succeed.....:rotfl2: I didnt make it for jan (again) but I came fairly close, 766, and I was sick for quite a while.

Marie, you are doing well at 1200, I dont think you should lower it. Stick with what they are telling you, or maybe do 1 day a week thats less, and 1 thats more to shake up your metabolism.:goodvibes

Hi all. It was a snow day here in KY today. Yep that inch we got was killer!:rotfl2: Anyway, I got the house cleaned, with lots of help from Kev today. Well the main floor anyway, and the basement. I still have to do the upstairs tomorrow.

Food today was just ok.

anyway thats 974 cals. not bad

exercise was ok. I did the treadmill a little over 2 miles in 40 mins. It really seems like I am working really hard, harder than on the stairmachine. I think its different muscles I guess. And I do it at 3.2-3.4 mph according to the treadmill. Burned around 420 cals. My heart rate was up over 125 just 5 mins in so I think I burned more cals today really.

I bought some bananas so I can have some fruit. I also bought some 100% fruit juice. Can I count that as fruit? It has 150 cals. in 8 oz, which makes me crazy, so I dont want to drink it if it doesnt count for anything good!

We are doing superbowl food on sunday at work. I am taking that chili dip in the cream cheese that they have been showing on tv. I also bought some italian sausage, parmesan and chopped spinach to put in some spinach Phyllo cups for an appetizer. Doesnt that sound yummy? I dont imagine I will eat much but its nice to be a little social at work, considering everything.

I'm SO Jealous of you getting SNOW!! We never get any snow here! That is the only thing that DH and I were not to keen on when we moved back to Macon. No Snow. Both of us would like LOTS of snow. Oh, well. Hope you enjoyed yours. :)

The treadmill my grandma bought makes quite a bit of noise also. I have to turn the TV WAY up to hear it.

You are awesome on your exercise!! You keep going like that and you are going to blow that mileage challenge out of the water!! :cheer2: I want in on that by the way! I'm gonna go for 25 and hope that I can exceed it!

Your food looks really good too! When I look at it I always think... If that was all I ate I would starve all day! But then that could be why you lose and I don't :rotfl: :upsidedow Way to go on the resisteds!! :cheer2: AND Bananas! Good move! I think fruit juice counts as long as it is pure fruit juice. I know what you mean about it being a Lot of calories. I like the Odwalla stuff they sell at Starbucks and the Naked juice at the grocery store. They state on them that they have like 2 bananas, 2 apples, blueberries, etc. in them It is cool to know you are drinking something that is yummy but has the fruits in it that you wouldn't normally eat. BUT they are lots of calories & money, so I buy them as a treat occasionally.

I just want to say, MY BUTT HURTS! Apparently, the treadmill uses entirely different butt muscles. I wasnt even going to exercise today, but I finally decided I would work "through the pain!":rotfl2:

I guess I will drink some of the juice, since its 100% juice. I will maybe have only 1/2 cup tho. Geez thats a lot of calories! I did have half a banana in my cereal today, so thats something anyway.

OK, now on a personal level. My BF from last year just called. I havent talked to him since maybe october? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 He was kind of apologetic of the way things turned out, I deserved better, yadayadayada. I dont need a boyfriend. Things are going fine without one. I will not fall into this trap.

Love the hearts on the tree idea! One year my SIL did just that. It was up so long after Christmas that she just decorated it for every season!

OK, so I knew I would not do so good today. It wasnt THAT bad. But certainly nothing to brag about.

How silly you are! I get tired just reading your posts! I did 3 miles tonite too. But it was in 2 30 min sessions. Its harder than I thought. It harder to me than walking outside.:confused3 I mean it works my heart more I think.

I am off tomorrow and friday, so I plan on 3 miles on those days too, so be ready marie! I have had the treadmill for 9 days now and have done 16 miles on it! (6 were still in january so they dont count) I really think it is going to help. At least with the blood sugar if nothing else.

Food today was not terrible, but a little more than I thought. When I have to get up at 4 I just eat a little more cuz I m awake too long.

B-smartones muffin sandwich..thank goodness cuz they brought in sausage biscuits to work!

S-fat free blueberry muffin
