What a day! Horrible busy day at work, then I had to get ready for our little "mini-vacation". Me and my boy are going to six flags tomorrow and staying overnight at the hotel next to it and going again thursday. Kind of pretending since I couldnt get enough time off to go on a real vacation. Anyway 2 of his buddies are going with us, and one girl, whose mom will pick her up at the hotel tomorrow night, then bring her back on thursday. We will get to swim at the hotel and basically just goof off. It will be fun, we always have fun.

I didnt do to good today food wise but I just added it up and it wasnt too many calories, it just wasnt what I had planned to eat. By the time I got home from work it was 730 and I was really hungry. I made a salad and ate that and I was gonna make a burger (nutrisystem) but my son had chicken strips and I ate 5. So I figured (correctly) that I couldnt have the burger too. Then I had popcorn later . It could have been way worse, I just like to stick with the plan and I didnt.

Exercise I did good though. When I came home I planned to run/walk, but the wind was blowing about 30 knots and there was no way. So I checked my tivo and saw I had a couple of Ellens tivoed. So I watched both and did the stairmachine. Ellen was at Universal, it was so cool. Really made me want to get there soon! Anyway that was 75 mins on the stairmachine! I love tivo! Also I almost forgot I got in 20 mins walking there. So thats 95 mins!

Way to go on your exercise! :cheer2: It sounds like you are really doing great on your run/walk sessions! Keep up the good work. Just be careful you don't want to overdo it and hurt your muscles.

I take it you are recouping from Six Flags today. Hope you guys had a Great time! :sunny: Enjoy your time off!
 

Hi yall! We went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (in Louisville) yesterday. It was a really nice day, we had lots of fun. Then we went to the executive and swam and stayed the night. The idea was to get up and go to the park again today but it was cold and dreary and rainy. So I took the boys home and they played b-ball for a couple of hours then I took them out to lunch and then to Lazer Blaze. They had a good time. Tomorrow me and the boy are going hiking up in Madison Indiana at Clifty Falls. I'm crossing my fingers that the weather gets better. I'm not into hiking in the rain.

Diet went out the window...yesterday heres what I had (I dont know the calories)

banana

3 chicken strips and fries

dippin dots (chocolate mint)

bbq ribs (2 ribs)
beef tips and noodles
salad with lite ranch dressing
chicken noodle soup
green beans
chocolate cake

then today it didnt get better

I did loads of exercise today though, 80 mins on the stairmachine. Yesterday of course I walked a lot around the park but I'm not gonna count any since it wasnt consistent.

Just got home. Had a great weekend with my boy. We did some rugged hiking and braved some really bad storms and saw a beautiful double rainbow. Didnt exactly eat healthy but got lots of exercise. 2 hours 10 mins very RUGGED hiking yesterday. It was wet and steep and had lots of waterfall crossings and rocky upgrades. Today we just did one short hike and it was moderately rugged, but not bad. Today it was a short 35 min hike. Tonite I also did 27 mins on the stairmachine. And all this while having monster cramps! I'm tired so I'm going to bed, take care all! :hippie:

It is understandable that you didn't do so good on food. It is Really hard at places like Six Flags. You will be back on track tomorrow though, I know you will. :goodvibes

Back to work today. I didnt want to go, had to drag myself in there. But it wasnt bad once I got there I guess. I had a not too bad day food-wise. Kinda working my way back to normal. Heres what I had:

I did it. I got up and did the walk/run thing before work. 41 mins 3 times around , then I climbed the stairs twice at work for 15 mins, then 10 more mins walking. So that was good.

i'm going to have to get some info on the Louisville Six Flags....not sure if that is closer for me, or is St. Louis is.....hhhmmmmmmm....can't make it back to WDW this year.....(tile), so i'm trying to plan a little 4day get away for us.

I'm here! I'm here! I have just been waaay behind the power curve the last couple of days. At the end of my workweek my shifts get earlier and earlier and I get less and less sleep. I had a long day today...4am wake up, work until 1 pm and then go take my boy to the orthodontist. After that he had a golf match. He did really well, tho he was disgusted with himself. He shot a 46 on 9 holes. Really not bad at all, but he had like 5 birdie putts that ended up bogeys so he could have shot about a 40. He just could not putt today. The rest of his game was perfect. He never shanked a single shot. I was really proud of him. But he was soooo close to that really great game that he just couldnt settle for good. Anyway, a golf match with middle schoolers takes a long time so we didnt even get home until 830 or so. Luckily I'm off tomorrow so I can sleep in a bit. I didnt get much exercise today (no time) It was too busy at work to get in my stair climbing ( I did it once only) I did walk for a couple of hours at the golfcourse, but it wasnt consistent so I am gonna count it as 20 mins.

I have not lost any weight AT ALL in at least 3 weeks (maybe 4?) And I have been getting loads of exercise so I have to refocus on the diet part. :hippie:
 
My day off, so I had to run errands and make phonecalls and do laundry and clean house. (I didnt clean house, its horrible) I did get up and run/walk though, 41 mins worth, 3 times around my circle. Happy Easter Everyone! It was sure beautiful weather here today! I actually got a little sunburn because I just didnt want to come in at all. Got up early and took my boy golfing. It was at a par 3 coursethat they have some matches at, so he needed to check distances. He doesnt do as well on that type course because he is a long ball hitter. He didnt do as well as he wanted today either so he got grouchy. Its really kind of a tough course cuz its so small, no room for error. He was teeing off with 9 irons and pitching wedges, anyway, he got a 39. Not very good but hey, it couldve been worse.

Then I came home and cleaned house really fast so I could be outside instead. So my house is only cleaned kinda on the surface but I dont care much. Then I hung out outside with the boy, read my book, drank a margarita wine cooler, swang on the tree swing and played pitch and catch. Then I had to go to the grocery cuz the boy insists on having food. By the time I got home it was 820 and it was still light so I decided to walk the dog and get my exercise that way. (I have decided to do the run/walk thing 3 times a week- does that seem reasonable to any of you all that do it? I have trouble with my feet and dont want to overdo it. Actually my knees were hurting today and I think its because I did the run/walk thing plus 40 mins on the stairmachine) Anyway I walked the dog for 30 mins. I am giving myself credit for 10 mins walking at the golfcourse and 15 mins playing pitch and catch for 55 mins today. By the time I got halfway done walking it was dark. Walking a pitch-black dog in the dark is not good! I am tired tonite tho so I should be able to sleep well. I have candy in the house tho. My boy is 14 but I'm still giving him an easter basket. Heck my mom gave them to us when we were in college! BTW marie it has WHOPPERS in it. :rotfl2:
Now I hope I can manage to not eat any of the candy!

Hi Linda! :wave: You have been doing really good on your eating! :cheer2: And on your exercising! :cheer2: I think it is a really good idea to only do the run/walk thing 3 times a week, especially to start with. You don't want to overdo it. I think that is one of the reasons that I have been struggling w/ so much soreness. I try to do too much too soon & too often. :rolleyes1

Keep up the good work and don't get too discouraged by the scale. I went for about a month and a half w/ no weight loss. It is frustrating, but just remember that all that exercise and good eating is Good for your body regardless. :sunny: It will all come together and pay off soon! :cheer2:

Not a good day food-wise today. Darn those malted milk balls. Turns out my son doesnt like the ones that look like robins eggs. I didnt want to waste them you know so I ate them. Oh well. I tried to make up for it by not eating much the rest of the day but I lost it at the end. I did get some exercise tho.
